My fiance and I went here for lunch last Friday. Big mistake. The hostess looked about twelve, and seemed pissed when we requested to sit in the shade. (She sat us under a dripping awning with no umbrella at the table...all the other tables around us had umbrellas.) The waitress was nice enough. I ordered a pina colada and my fiance got a mediocre draft beer that he wasn't thrilled with. The pina colada was just okay...I didn't finish it.
Here's where things go downhill.
My fiance ordered the same thing: grouper tacos, no cheese or sauce. I got mine grilled and he got his blackened. I thought mine smelled a bit fishy when it came out, but I rarely eat fish, so I went ahead and ate it. BIG MISTAKE.
That evening, after dinner (where everyone had the same meal, at a house), I got violently ill. I spent roughly seven hours vomiting all over the hotel room's bathroom. We traced it back to the fish I'd had at lunch. Not happy. The fact that this restaurant served questionable fish when they claim they are known for their fish sandwiches is just appalling.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We definitely will not be back.
Blah.... Â Not really too impressed with The Hut.... Â It wasn't very crowded when we came for dinner, and I can see why. Â There were probably some better options in the near vicinity. Â The place itself is ok, not dirty, but not clean either. Â We sat in an open patio type area, I don't know if they had indoor seating. Â The service wasn't that great either. Â The waiter seemed like he wasn't to happy to be there, and some things were forgotten etc.. Â The food was average at best and prices were a little high in my opinion. Â It's not a terrible place, but I would explore other options before settling here.
