Darby O'Toole's

This is a brand new bar and grill in St. Charles near the Blanchette bridge, where the old Mr. Steak was. There hasn't been much remodeling done to the place. It looks like they have a new bar, but the old carpet.

Our waitress was really friendly and funny, but even she felt bad about the draft beer cooler going out, and only having big brand beer in bottles. There are some hiccups, but all new places have them.

I ordered a French Dip, which was very tasty. The onion strings are greasy, but sooooo good.  The food is inexpensive, and they have a good selection. There are two pool tables, and the seating is plentiful and nice. They have some big-screen televisions and seem willing to put on whatever sporting event you want.

It is a bit smoky, but if you don't mind that, it's worth stopping by...more  so when they get the cooler fixed! They already have a lot of regular customers, and perhaps you'll end up being one of them!
