Bobby's Place Main Street

We stopped for a late lunch Sunday during some type of festival. I'm not sure if that had something to do with our horrible experience or not. Our waitress was incredibly unfriendly and rude and service was exceptionally slow. It took over 45 minutes to get two burgers and she completely forgot our daughter's meal so that took an additional 15 minutes. She made it very clear that she didn't like the fact she needed to serve us outside yet never bothered to bring any condiments with our burgers and sighed heavily when we asked for water or anything else. We were never offered refills on our drinks and had to flag her down to get the check. The food was alright but not great. The restrooms were disgusting which would be one thing if it were a Saturday night or they were busy.

In general, a place can be a little slow, and have less than great food and still be ok if they have friendly and engaging waitstaff. Or, they can have great food and be slower with not so stellar waitstaff. You can't be slow, bad food and bad service, that's not a good combo. We won't be back.

We ended up here to meet some friends that were in town for a hockey tournament and they stayed in this area. I'm new to town so I found this little "old time" strip of bars very quaint and cutesy.
We went into this place to eat and grab a few drinks while watching the first weekend of NHL. I had the Chili Mac and Cheese and it was great! The service was attentive and quick even with my friend busting the servers chops, she sassed him right back appropriately and amused all of us.
It was really funny though because as soon as 10:00pm hit, a lot of St Charles style Jersey Shore wannabes came busting through and it was in process of turning into a douchey club. We ran out of there before we were stuck in that, and wouldn't subject anyone with a touch of grace or class in that atmosphere, lol. However, I would definitely recommend it anytime before 10pm!
