I was very much surprised by this place.   I had been here years ago and had forgot about it.  Not a place you would know unless you lived in the area, or had a discount to eat there.  It's attached to an RV park so that is a bit different when you pull up (there were several large RVs there).  The inside to me was like a throwback to the 70s but it was very clean and well maintained.  Ordered was the Pork Loin Rigatta and Chicken Marsala.  They came with house salads which were decent and a side (green beans and fried potatoes between the two) which were also very good.  While I ordered the marsala, I ended up eating the pork, which I thought was excellent and big thick piece.  I ate very bit of it.  The chicken was very good also but very saucy and fortunately we both wanted the other dish.

Service was excellent, food was very good and other than the decor, it is a place I would go to again (which I may just for the pork).  Prices are good for what they have.

I didn't even know anything about this place other than on my drive home I see it on the "Food exit" sign for North 3rd St. in Saint Charles.

I got a groupon about 5 months ago because with my groupon bucks it only cost 8 bucks for $30 worth of food.

So finally we found a baby sitter and ventured to this review absent restaurant. We found our selves pulling into a very unusual area with an RV park across the street. The RVs were very impressive and well kept so it didn't detract from the surroundings.

Inside we realized that this is a banquet center also and there was a wedding reception about to start next to us. They have some good acoustic dampening in the walls because later we couldn't even hear the party except for a little bit every now and then.

The interior looked like it was out of date and quickly we realized that it looked like the senior crowed was out in full force. I have no problem with this but I guess what do you expect from the closest restaurant to an RV park. The inside was definitely small and a little dark.

On the menu there were allot of choices and most of them looked good but the price on the steaks was a little high and I always hate paying for steak and it not being up to par.

We started with Toasted Ravioli and I really think that they were the same that I could have purchased in any store and heated up in my own oven, But the main thing I enjoyed was the Marinara sauce was definitely home made. It had so much flavor that my wife had to try it and she hates marinara sauce on toasted Rav.

For dinner my wife got a grilled chicken sandwich and I got a Pork Porterhouse with broccoli and a salad. I usually go with something like Italian or Ranch but I went with honey mustard and loved it. The salad was good and tasted fresh.

I was blown away by the flavor of the Porterhouse, I have never had a pork chop be that thick and juicy and full of flavor. They had a scoop of compound butter on the top of it that I tasted and then smeared all over that thing, It was delicious. I am not sure what was in the butter but it was good, on the menu they call it maître butter. Maybe a different name for compound butter?

I ate the entire 14oz chop and everything else I ordered and didn't feel stuffed. I enjoyed that there was no smoking but the lady next to us kept going outside to smoke and when she would come back in it would waft in with her.

All in all I will say that I was very pleased with this place but it lacked a certain WOW factor and I am not sure if I would go back without a Groupon. But for what it is, I did enjoy it.

We went there for Mother's day, based on a recommendation from a friend that went the previous year. The tables were set up in the reception hall area, which seemed nice enough. The coffee was served and it was cold, which always starts things off poorly. As for the buffet, we could have done better at Ryan's Family Steakhouse....a lot better...since we paid $22.95 each for the 'special' dinner. They also did away with the carving tables with beef and ham, and the included Mimosa's! So things were pretty bland. The desert table looked like leftovers at a Friday Fish Fry at your local Catholic Church.

When asking the manager why they did not include the Mimosa's this year, she said that they ARE included....but they charge for them. Hmmm...(Who's on first?, lol). We told her we came because of the carving tables and mimosa's from last year, etc. , and that we all wanted mimosa's and could she work us a deal for several? Nope; said that she couldn't change the price in the computer. Whatever.

Anyway, we won't be back. You can do better at most any other restaurant. I'm thinkin' Arbys!
