Rumples Pub and Restaurant

Rumpled is a fine bar/restaurant with much better than expected food. Last night we had the scallops and the chicken Marsala. Hot, flavorful and reasonably priced. Friendly local type service with genuine smiles. Very cold beer accompanied by a jello shot for this so inclined, added to a very pleasant evening of music by a group of 3 guys who sang songs from the oldies list at a volume that did not blow you out of the place. If we could only get Rumples to improve the wine selection, this place would ramp up to a must-be-seen at venue. Located on Main Street in St. Charles adds a lot of charm for a date night or a place to go to enjoy live music with a few friends.

Unfortunately, Rumples is now CLOSED.

My Friday night was better than yours.  Oh, you don't think so?  Well let me ask you then:

Did you spend your Friday night in the lovely historic downtown St. Charles?
Did you sing along to cover songs performed by a band called Midlife Crisis?  
Did you drink PBR?  Oh yeah?  Well was it on tap?
Did you watch drunken 40 somethings busting out dance moves not unlike those of Lady Gaga?
Did you laugh so hard you had a headache?
Did you get to hang out with the members of Midlife Crisis for an hour after the bar closed and hear jokes like, "if I have one more of these shots I'll be seein' double and feelin' single!" ?

Yeah, I didn't think so.  I didn't see you at Rumples.

But don't worry, Midlife Crisis is the house band and they play twice a month.  My friend's uncle is the bass player, so we will be back for sure, and I have a feeling we'll find some of those fun-loving inebriated folk putting the rump in Rumples on the dance floor every time.
