Absolutely excellent. From the quality and care taken with each dish we ordered to the service. My wife , 9 year old daughter and myself will definitely be coming back. Best restaurant I've tried in St. Charles.

This place is A-OK in my book, which is not a standard to be scoffed at.  Good food, reasonable prices, comfy casual.  Service was attentive, but we were overcharged for our wine-by-the-glass.  I called after we got home and the manager apologized and quickly refunded the appropriate amount.

We tried the roasted red pepper hummus and saganaki for appetizers.  The hummus was tasty and ample for an appetizer.  The saganaki, a breaded and "flambed' Greek cheese, was good but not great.

I had the Fisherman's Special and it was quite good.  Lots of seafood, cooked perfectly, with a flavorful and interesting red sauce.  The Green Goddess salad featured crisp greens and freshly cracked pepper, but the dressing lacked punch--I could taste none of the anchovy as promised.  My husband's mushroom ravioli was good, again, but not great.

My husband and I met another couple there and we were all pleasantly surprised about the sound level -- we could actually talk without becoming hoarse (on a Friday night).   This is a real pet peeve of mine.  Eating out at a restaurant is a social event and one shouldn't become hoarse just trying to communicate with dinner mates.

I'd give this a 5-star rating on ambiance, service and menu offerings.  And the lemon-and-lavender creme brulee, for $5, should not be missed.  Ok, I just changed my rating from 3 stars to 4!

We were a party of four, and were seated right away on a Saturday night. The table water was in a wine bottle, which was a quaint touch, but there was no ice in the glasses at any time. We got two appetizers, salmon carpaccio and saganaki (flaming Greek cheese). The salmon was an extremely small portion with three crustinis and a flavored olive oil on top. Unfortunately they forgot the olive oil on it, and came to our table just before we finished eating it, to put it on the dish. Then we got the entree's, of which there was a problem with each of them. One entree, Greek spaghetti, was cold and had to go back to the kitchen to be heated. Two other entrees were gyros...one was the wrong gyro entirely (it was supposed to be some kind of Italian gyro) and both of the gyros had no tzatziki (cucumber sauce), which was a feature of the meal and prominently mentioned on the menu. When my wife pointed this out, the server argued that it was on the gyro, and when my wife opened it and showed the server, she said she would bring some out to us, but never did. My lamb shank, which was very tender, was also very small, but I had to wait for it because they brought out the wrong entree the first time. I was offered a comped appetizer to eat while I waited. I chose the calamari. I never got it. When I asked for more water, the server took the bottle away and never returned with it until we had our checks. We did get free butter cookies at the end of the meal (as did all tables). As the server was getting our checks to us, the manager came up and told her that another table had received the wrong checks. For a very small niche restaurant, this number of mistakes was unforgivable. I will not be back. I am usually a 20% tipper, but left an undeserved 15%.
