Two words- FOOD POISONING.  Since the mall is about to close I guess they don't really care about things like, oh cooking chicken all the way through,  for example.  Unless you want to spend the night throwing up, don't eat there people.

    WOW what happened?
This place is a BIG scam beginning to the end. They include a 16% tip no matter how many people you are and that is NOT cool, because if you are not alert you will tip them on the total amount like we did. Our server was new but when asked questions he replied "I don't know" instead of "I will find out" and no mention of gratuity included. The menu is saying "Want more? Our bartenders can make anything. Seriously. Anything. Just ask for a recommendation." Well, that statement is NOT true...we asked for a few drinks and was told they could not make those drinks. Also, the bartender by the games was not very attentive, she was more interested in entertaining a group of guys. After waiting for our drinks for a while, we asked the busboy if he could get our drinks and he did. He was very helpful and attentive. Please Dave and Buster's shape up or you will go out of business.

When here yesterday for the UYE games and happy hour - not bad.
After finding the place, I realized that I had been here once before (maybe 5 years ago) but only for the games. This time I took a look a the menu - the 1/2 priced drinks really isn't a bad deal. The buffalo wings are about what one would expect on average.  I was surprised to see that they have the calorie count listed for the meals/food. There were a few games that were new to me but for the most part it seems as though not much has changed in 5 years.  The barista/server was curteous but didn't engage in conversation unless it related to ordering.  I was surprised to the that a 16% tip was automatically added to a check for one person however my check was for a small about so it wasn't a major problem.  However, that is kinda of a shame though as I would have, without thinking about it, left more than that even though the service wasn't noteworthy.
    I'm not a fan of auto-tipping.

Food is ok, and the games are a blast.  Best deal is to get the power card while you eat.  Cuts your meal price back to $5-$6.

We did have a couple issues with games and the service tech, Trey (sp?), was on top of things.  Customer service is a big part of what brings me back to places, and they did fantastic.  I'd go back.

I love Dave and Buster's and it is a great place to enjoy playing video games and drinking a few cold one. I am not really a fan of this location because not much else to do inside this mall. I do come here most times since it is the closest location to my house.

The bar has plenty of drink choices which is a bonus for me. Plus Stella is on draft!!

Tip: the tip is automatically added to your receipt.

I'd visited this Dave & Buster's (in the White Flint mall) in fall 2011 and have also visited other Dave & Buster's locations in CA and NY.  I visited again in May 2013 with my bf and some friends.  It was my bf's first time at a Dave & Buster's and we had a good time.  It was the first time I actually ordered a drink at D&B, and since we didn't eat the food there, the experience this time was a lot more enjoyable.

We played Pacman, mini-bowling, the horse racing game, and a gigantic game of Connect 4!  It was pretty exciting :)  And in the end, we had enough tickets to get a shot glass and 2 plastic sparkly bracelets (he joked that that's the first piece of jewelry he's gotten for me hahahaha).

All in all, a very fun night at D&B!  The only annoying thing was that they were shutting the whole place down at midnight for a private event, which we didn't find out about until we rode all the way to this place.

Rumor has it that they're shutting this location down... I certainly hope they don't!

So my honey and I love this place. You might see his review here as well. I will go ahead and admit we might be bias as we find almost any place we can have fun and get drunk awesome. But serious - this place is great.

First food - 3 1/2 stars. I had a pretty dry and mediocre piece of salmon here, but on another day the grilled shrimp, and fondue dessert were really good. Maybe the cook the first time was having a bad day.

Drinks - we only go during happy hour so we pay 1/2 price. That's a deal you can't beat. And for a girl like me who watches what I eat at times, the Skinny Margaritas were good. Really good. Sometimes they can be too sweet or just funny tasting.

Games - We do half price games on Wednesdays which also means no kids. I don't think you understand how awesome "no kids" is two adults who want to act like kids for the day. LOL

Staff - Never any issues. The back bar near the games can be busy and it understaffed, so service at times is slow. We usually eat at the front bar and get plenty of attention there.

Since this location is at White Flint you can metro or drive. Plenty of free parking.

    Definitely going back.

I love this place. Fantastic. So let me say I was deducted 1 star. The food here could be spectacular, as many of the items are. But there are also other items on the menu that are simply average, and many not so great. The menu is too extensive for a place that doesnt specialize in food. Its a place for games, drinks, socializing, then food. If they cut a few items off, it would totally rock. I also usually order food at the bar where Juan and others get things done. From what I observe though, is that if one sits at a regular table, service might knock it down to 3 stars. That aside, whats not to love. Half price happy hour 4:30-7, 9-close. Where else can you get a jim beam and coke for $2.90 or sky vodka and cran for $3.15 ? Also, Wednesdays most games are 1/2 price all day long. 6 player trivia, 4 player air hockey, traditional 2 person air hockey, ghost squad, time crisis, deal or no deal, connect four, 8 player basketball, skee ball, the list goes on and on. Sure to have a blast. Sign up for their rewards program and they constantly email coupons and deals.

Joe V. at the bar in the gaming area took great care of my friend and I last Friday. Honestly as a former server, most servers can do no wrong in my eyes. I had a red berry followed by a white peach sangria and my friend had a tropical mojito that tasted like skittles. We shared a delicious appetizer. My only complaint would be that cocktails were a bit watered down and I could have just as well spent the $9.00 for each drink on beers and got a buzz for my buck.

Poor service, expensive, broken down machines, machines stealing your money what else can I say? This was my first experience here and I was greatly disappointed. On TV it shows this place as being a lively wonderful place but all I received was attitude and expensive service. The mixed drinks we ordered were not worth anything except draining my wallet. This is a no star review which I really wish yelp would work on adding which needs to say (Not worth my star or yours).

I used to come here fairly often for happy hours on Thursday nights. It can get very crowded and really hard to get a drink at the bar. There are always a lot of people sitting around the bar area so it makes it difficult for the bartenders to see who needs a drink or not. But there are TONS of games to play and most of them give tickets which you can accumulate and buy prizes with before you go home. The food here is surprisingly very good. I've never been disappointed with anything that I've ordered. One of my favorites is the blackened chicken pasta. We tried the steak fajitas last time and they were amazing. The portions are pretty big too, so you can share one entree between two people. The speciality drinks are very yummy as well. I would recommend trying the peach long island iced tea! You can bring your kids here as well, but they need to be chaperoned. It's a little chaotic because sometimes there are way too many people inside, but I always have a good time here. I wish they would make another location in Virginia!

Went here for the first time Sat night. And I have to say I will not be going back. Maybe this place is good for an arcade-type place, idk, I didn't check out that side of the business. We visited it for the restaurant only. As soon as we walked in, the red flags went up. We walk in, there's nobody around to tell you where to go, seat you, etc. No signs posted, 'seat yourself', 'wait to be seated', etc. So we're just standing around in this small area and I see server after server walk by w/out saying a thing. Finally, after a few minutes of being ignored, I wave one down and ask how we go about getting a table here. I'm directed to a host stand on one side of the restaurant completely out of view from the entrance where we were standing. Once we walked over, my husband approached and spoke to the man "hosting" and was told this section is full. Ok, more walking around trying to figure out where to sit. After milling around for several min and having many servers walk right by us w/ no acknowledgement, I went back to the same host stand and now a woman is manning it. I ask about the same section we were just told was full and she says right this way. She takes me to a booth and immediately I see THREE empty tables around me. Did FOUR tables just clear out in a few min? I just can't believe that. I really don't think the first guy had his sh!t together. But anyway, Yay! we got a table, now I have to go find my friends/husband who are wondering around somewhere looking for service.

Ok, we're all seated and ready to eat. I find that these chain restaurants do well w/ their appetizers and desserts, but not so much w/ entrees. So for years, I've only ordered apps and desserts at these kinds of restaurants. The apps I ordered were pot skins and pretzel bites. They were about what I expect from this kind of place. Nothing special. I ordered the pineapple mojito which was good. Then I ordered a mai tai, when it arrived it was very light in color and tasted like straight liquor, no fruitiness, no orange flavor, just straight liquor. Gross, couldn't even finish it, gave it to hubbs (he can drink anything). I noticed they advertised really good Long Is iced teas. I loooove Long Is's. I find that they are a sneaker and I can put away 4 or 5 before I realize I'm gone. Well when it got to the table, same problem. It was very light in color and cloudy. Wtf? The reason they're called Long Is Iced Tea is b/c they resemble iced tea! Duh. And again, tasted like straight alcohol. Slid it right over to hubbs and he finished it no problem. This bartender really doesn't know what they're doing. If it was drinkable, I would have ordered a few more, and in turn, ate more. They're losing money big time b/c they have bartenders that apparently just pour liquor into glasses and call em drinks. If that's what your looking for, go at it but when I order a certain drink, I'm doing so b/c I like the flavor of that drink. I don't want to just be served liquor.  And when the waitress asked how everything was, I said the drinks are terrible. She gave a sad face and asked how. I said they're straight liquor, no fruitiness, no other flavor, they're awful. Another sad face, but that was it and she walked away. At this point I was ready to go. I NEVER leave  a restaurant  w/out getting a dessert. But after all they're disorganization, average food and below average drinks, I was just done. Won't be going back and can't recommend to anyone else.

WATCH THE BARTENDERS MAKE YOUR DRINKS!!!! Back in October was my birthday and four of us (myself included) went there to celebrate. If you drink here, watch the bartenders make them. I ordered a Patron Margarita (Patron silver and Le Citronage, both clear) all around and saw the bartender pour well tequila in the drink. She dropped the drinks at our table which was away from the bar, and walked away without saying anything. When I asked her about it she claimed that they ran out of the le citronage (clear orange liquor) and so used triple sec (Clear also, not gold). Manager was also very rude. This Bartenders name was Laura. Skinny girl with dark brown hair. Using the remainder of points and never going to this location again. Esp for a drink. Beware of this and make sure they make your drink correctly if you are paying for them. Also cut us off after two drinks, unheard of.

Dave & Buster's is fun when you don't want to go out clubbing or to the bar. There are some cool games, and I've have a good time the last couple times I went. I feel like a kid again! BUT I have some major issues with this place.

There are WAY too many kids! Isn't there Chuck-e-Cheese for them? It should be 21 and over (or at least 18 and over) after a certain time of night. The drinks are also not that great. The Texas Sweet Tea is OK and the Red Sangria is decent, but the Mojito is nasty! They can't expect to throw some rum and two pieces of mint and artificial-tasting pre-made mixer in a glass and call that a Mojito. The food is also really gross. Mozzarella sticks were served COLD to me, the spicy rice was under-cooked and not spicy, and the supposedly-Cajun steak had no flavor at all, although It was cooked medium, as I had requested. My friend also ordered her steak medium, but it was served very well-done and dry.

Customer service is also not that great. The other night, we were standing in line to weigh our tickets - for 10-15 minutes - even though we were the first people in line. The manager was having the cashier weigh bag after bag of shredded tickets without bothering to acknowledge that a long line had formed. Not once did he bother to apologize for the delay or let us know when they would be done - actually, I don't think he even looked at us once. Not sure why they couldn't have done that when the place was closed or when 20 people weren't waiting in line.

So, as long as you don't expect good quality food, drinks, or customer service AND don't mind hundreds of kids, this is the place for you!

Always a fun place to be.  I don't usually go there for food because most of their items are very heavy.  I go there for the games.  I would go there and have gone there for big parties so in that sense it is nice since you can share dishes and play games together.
It is a nice place for birthday parties.  Always clean and staff are all nice.

I have been here 3 times. The first was for lunch on my 28th birthday. I went, and our waiter was pretty nice. On the other hand, my parents said it was my birthday, and they brought out the cake tray. Now usually that means it's free, but I was wrong. They charged me for it. Oh well, I would just write a complaint... but wait, their site had no complaint box when I was on there. Anyway, the game room was fun (though loud.) I enjoyed myself immensely, even though the prizes were expensive.

So my brother decided to go for his 30th or 31st. OK, well we went on a Saturday night. The wait was 2 hours, and we went to Bertucci's (whole different story) to eat because when he called to see if they had any kind of call ahead seating they said no. Now I heard different a few times. Well we ate and came back up to play games. Their gaming area was fantastic that year. I don't know what they did...but I had a bit of a better time there.

Now to my point of the story. I just went last night again for my bro's 32nd. Well they said the wait was 2 hours again. So we found some people weren't coming, and brought the guest count from 10 to 6, and cut down the wait to an hour. So we checked Cheesecake factory and they said an hour so we went back. They told us we had 2 parties ahead of us...and after they seated 5 people, it was our turn (as my friend said "I knew it was going to be the table I was staring at for 10 mins.") Anyway, I asked them to substitute my fries, and asked if they had onion rings. They said they did. So our food gets there, and I had fries on my plate (I can't have them right now) so after a while they "fixed" it (giving me another side and comping it...though it would have been my side anyway, and acting like it was the Holy Grail.) I have learned my lesson and decided to make a reservation at Cheesecake Factory this May and just do the gaming. To quote my brother tonight. "We should not have to pay 16% for service like this..."

On a better note, if you do dine there, I suggest the buffalo chicken sandwiches.

I went here on a Saturday night and had a lot of fun with friends. It's packed and a lot of kids, but I never felt it hard to move around or annoyed. There are a lot of fun games especially ones if you want to win a ton of tickets or just play an awesome shooting game and not win any at all.

The bartenders were very attentive and fast so it made the overall experience great.

Definitely a fun time and plan on returning.

I love this place! So much fun. Drinks are prepared a million times better in the game area versus the dining area. The food was decent.  Everyone's meal looked really delicious, but mine was ok...not horrible, but just ok.  It was a bit too saucy for my taste.

Anyhoo, Great customer service & quick food service. This is such a fun place!

I'm a member of an organization that has been holding a monthly breakfast for 40-80 people in the private room at D&B's-White Flint for years.  I can't say enough about the service they give us, how well the accommodate our needs, and the quality of the product they provide.

Management and staff are helpful, professional and friendly.  The breakfast is well prepared and served.  We stick to eggs, bacon, sausage, home fried potatoes with onions and peppers, a couple of breads and a nice fruit tray.  Basic stuff but well done.

I've never actually been to D&B's during regular business hours but if you need a place to host an event, I highly reocmmend D&B.

My husband had a craving for Blackened Chicken Pasta, so we ventured out to Dave and Busters on Rockville Pike. We've never been to this location before, though we have been to others and enjoyed them. This one is more than disappointing.

As with all D&Bs, it was so crowded you couldn't hear yourself think much less anyone else. To put your name on the waiting list for a table you have to zig zag through the entire place, dodging children and servers along the way, and then hope you run into the host stand. If you are lucky enough to find it, then the host will look at you with a vacant expression. He literally stared at us as though we were speaking an alien tongue. Finally he put our name on the list. When he called our name to be seated, there were four of them at the host stand. We stood there for a good two minutes before I prompted them. "Did someone say our name?" Oh. Yes we did. Then it was a discussion of where to take us. I swear the four of them shared one brain, and it was lacking oxygen.

We made it to the table where the server very happily told us she'd let us "get settled" and took off. How long does it really take to sit down? She was nice and very happy, but not in a hurry to do anything.

After we ordered, she came back no less than four times to tell us that "y'alls food will be here in just a minute." It became quite comical after awhile. I didn't time it, but this is definitely not the place to go if you're in a hurry. We weren't, thank goodness.

When the food arrived it was hot, and it tasted good. The Blackened Chicken Pasta had just the right amount of spice and my husband was very happy to have his pasta fix at last. I had something small because I wanted dessert. We ordered the chocolate fondue. Big mistake. Don't bother. The marshmallows came from another century, the bananas were brown and soggy, the brownies were...obviously store bought. The chocolate? Probably Hershey's out of a squeeze jar. If you're in the mood for that sort of thing do yourself a favor and go to Melting Pot.

To add insult to the whole thing, they put an automatic 16% gratuity no matter your party size. It's ridiculous, and obviously doesn't do a thing in the motivation department. None of the servers were in a hurry to do anything. Why should they be? They're getting tipped no matter what. It's wrong. I won't be going back for that reason alone. Tipping is NOT a requirement, it's a reward for good service. It's almost as if this particular D&B thinks that to make up for not paying their servers a living wage that their customers should be forced to pay it instead. I'm sorry, but no. Treat your employees right. Period. And, D&B...I normally tip 20% if the service is decent. More if I love the service. You shortchange your staff with this policy, and you irritate your customers. I can see doing it for parties over 6 or 8. But not a party of 2 or 4. It's just flat out wrong.

So fair warning...it's crowded, the prices are meh, the food is okay but nothing special (don't waste your money on dessert), and they force you to tip whether you want to or not.

I have not eaten the food there, so I'm just commenting on the gaming aspect of D&B. It's a fun place, but fairly pricey. Several of the games were either not working or were malfunctioning; and there were only a few attendants to actually respond to customer issues. And they were not particularly pleasant; sometimes they were even rude. Makes me wonder what kind of example leadership/management has set. Hire more and better train your staff to take care of customers. Service with a smile!

Dave and Busters in general is a cool spot to go for a happy hour infused with gaming, but this D&B doesn't have the best selection. First off, they have no DDR. Seriously, how can you have arcade games without DDR?

What they lack in games such as DDR and more fighting games instead of just one machine for Tekken, they make up with new games such as the four person Pac Man. Now that is pretty cool and worth a trip there, but if you want fighting games and variety, then there is nothing special.

Food? It was decent. Took forever for it come, but the server was nice even though my date didn't tip him because he took forever. So if you want the best food, then I'd say this isn't the place. But if you want some decent fun with friends, then sure, totally check it out. But don't go every Friday, it gets boring after while.

NOTE: to all customers; they add a 16% Gratuity fee to every check. Whether you dine alone, your with friends, or even just drinking...you will be charged a 16% gratuity...which is complete BS.

Food wise our server was playing "Where's Waldo" with us...my beer was empty for quite a while. At the end of the meal, my friends and I (4 total) all brought out our cards to pay. So he goes off and is spending a Long time at the cash register. About 10 minutes later he comes back and he has written our names down next to everything on the ticket. We then told him we just wanted the bill split evenly among the 4 cards (so as to eliminate any confusion of who ordered what). He then goes to his register, and then disappears altogether...10 minutes later he comes back and  its obvious he still hasn't figured it out. He then started to give us some sort of story/excuse so I had to take the bill, take out all my friends cards so that only mine was left, and I had him just charge it all to me....Can someone explain to me why I was forced to give that type of "service" a tip?

After we left the table I was then buzzed over the PA system..turns out I left my wallet on the table. So it is nice that they have enough integrity to return what isn't theirs...but their integrity is trumped by their stupidity..because my friend actually went up and got it for me and they didn't bother checking to see if he was me. So I'm clearly happy it didn't fall into the wrong hands...but they SHOULD check to make sure I am the one who is claiming my property.

Then went to play games and drink. The bar was crowded and despite the 5 bartenders working it was difficult to get service...which I can empathize with since it was so busy. And yep, my bar tab also had a 16% gratuity added.

I love the concept of Dave and Busters, and since this one is located SO close to my apartment (right across the street) I have been here a few times already to play games and have a few drinks.

This Dave and Buster's is located inside White Flint Mall, so you can drive there r it's only a short walk away from the White Flint Metro.

I know from going to the one in NY that the food is nothing special, so I don't eat here and I find it to be a bit overpriced for mediocre quality, however this is a great place to come for their happy hour for 1/2 price cocktails or on Wednesdays for 1/2 price games!

Their mixed drinks are usually not very strong, however they come in some delicious flavors (ie- Watermelon margarita, strawberry-banana margarita, sno-cone drink, purple people eater (a purple martini, etc.)

They have a good selection of games and it's something different to do with friends, but be prepared to wait most times for some of the games you want!

Staff is usually pretty friendly, but can take a while to get someone to help you if a machine gets jammed or tickets run out.

Overall, not a bad place during happy hour or on Wednesdays for half price games, but  probably would try not to come on days where discounts don't apply...and I don't recommend the food.

The only reason we went back is because we had a power play card with $30 worth of credits, so we figured what the heck, we can at least have fun in the arcade.  We went there during lunch on a Saturday, and the place was fairly empty, including the arcade and the restaurant itself, so we sat down for the $15.99 Eat & Play combo.

We both ordered the Philly Steak subs, I asked for Sweet Potato Fries, my fiance asked for loaded mashed potatoes.  We were told it would take about 15 minutes to get it ready, and less than 10 minutes later, our food was brought out to us.  We were thinking this is amazing, the food should be piping hot and ready to tickle the tonsils.  Not so fast.

The food was barely warm, so I asked for a hotter bunch of sweet potato fries.  She took the first order, came back 5 minutes later with another order of sweet potato fries, which were barely warmer than the first set.  I dealt with it and chewed on it for a while.  The Philly Steak sub was OK, also barely warm, but I didn't really want to pitch a fit about it, and slathered it with ketchup.

The menu clearly states an 18% gratuity will be charged for parties of 8 or more, yet for only two people, they automatically put in a supposed 16% gratuity.  Mathematically, their computers were wrong, as our subtotal was $42.05, and they only added a $4.17 gratuity fee to it.  If their computer's math is wrong, that's a pretty sad story to tell their management.  We had asked for a non-gratuity to be included, so we could decide what the "tip" was going to be.

Our server was attentive and prompt, so she deserved a better tip for that, which we gave her.  But the quality of the food is atrocious.  Next time we go there, it's to play in the arcade.  For food, we have a decent choice of Bertucci's, PF Chang and the Cheesecake Factory, all in the same general area.

Fruit Ninja on a huge screen means those of without fine motor skills can still chop watermelons and oranges without feeling bad about ourselves for low scores.

They've done a nice job of moving out the old pixelated games that had been there since it opened in the 90s. I played a Rambo III game where I channeled Frank Reynolds and thought I WAS Rambo. I got so into mowing down bad guys that my girlfriend had to restrain me from dropping m-f bombs all over the place.

They kept the classic games, skee-ball, hoop shoot, all those. Can't go wrong. We actually won enough tickets to win a martini tumbler and a stuffed monkey. I think the global economy has driven down the "ticket cost", because it used to take around 5.3 million tickets for a key chain, now you can get worthless crap for a mere 1300. Sweet.

Didn't eat here. Arcades don't strike up an appetite, really, so it didn't even occur to me. But the arcade was a lot of fun, even with parents daring to keep their 3 young (ages 0-4) kids out after midnight. Can they make a rule about this? Granted, I've never raised kids, so to each their own I guess, but if they're going to check IDs at 11 to weed out the non-drinkers (or at least under-18ers), why not go all the way and make it adults only after 12? It would probably encourage more drinking and it would decrease the annoyance of us non-parenting folk.

Dave and Busters Bananas Foster Pie

Where in the world do I begin. This has to have been one of the most delightful flavor combinations to ever hit my palate.

A scrumptious explosion of flavors was released in my mouth with each spoonful of the  creamy delicious banana pudding mixed with the slight crunch of the graham cracker shell, along with the perfect amount of banana rum sauce and fresh sliced bananas.

My taste buds were jumping for joy as I savored every delicious spoonful of this heavenly dessert.

After I was done, I was stuffed, however I wanted to ask them for more to keep the delicious party going.

I entertained my tastes buds at Dave and Busters White Flint Mall location (11301 Rockville Pike, Kensington, MD 20895 * Phone: 301-230-5151).

Dave and Busters description of Bananas Foster Pie

Our version of a New Orleans classic. Chilled layers of banana pudding and vanilla butter sponge cake in a cinnamon graham pastry shell, layered with banana rum sauce and topped with freshly sliced bananas and warm caramel.

*if you want to visit this location you better hurry because from what i understand the mall it is located in will be closing soon.

*DUN DUN DUN* My first ever 1 star rating. Wowaweewa!

WHOA. ERRRTTT **stomps hard at the break pedal**, this place has gone WAYYY downhill in the last few years...so much it may have fallen (or should fall) into the deep, dark abyss.

This was probably only my 3rd, and fortunately LAST visit to D&B's (at least at this location). I don't venture out to MD much unless I'm passing through to get to another state. Meh. ::shrugs::

TERRIBLE food - Made a HUGE mistake in ordering a steak, requested medium and got rare dead animal on a plate. I probably wouldn't even have opted to go this route in the first place if it weren't for their freakin' list of calories for each item on the menu showing whopping 1000-2000 calorie counts. I mean really, it's bar food -- I already know it will be unhealthy. You really don't need to scare people away even more. They only had 3 supposed healthy meals under 600 cals (chicken, shrimp, or steak) and I opted for the steak, only to have them take it right back. Only thing decent was the shrimp so I ordered that instead which I ended up eating 4 pieces of after already having lost my appetite. Prices were pretty steep for the poor quality you get out of your meal. Remember the movie, "Waiting?" That is all I could think of. Ugh, horrifying.

Clearly, the waiters don't have to try knowing that there's an automatic 16% gratuity charged on your check. I probably caught our waiter slackin' off and having prolonged conversations with the others a dozen times throughout our meal.

Atmosphere - Dirty and full of abandoned, loitering children and teenagers who sneak up behind you saying "Hey, I'll play you for $20!" "Get the fff outta heaa kiddd." Ugh, pathetic! You can even tell by the staff's faces just how miserable they are. I'm guessing business somehow stays afloat due to the overall leniency in this establishment.

Only thing we really wanted to try out was the new huge screen for the Fruit Ninja game which in reality, was rigged because it was programmed so inconsistently where if you did well, you barely got any tickets, and if you didn't, then you would get a decent amount. I don't know, but it was whack! The rest of the arcade games were dated and not worth the points out of your power card.

Not worth ranting about this epic failure of a place even further so in conclusion, I'm vowing never to set foot into this place again. I would highly recommend spending your money elsewhere and staying far away from this mess. I've been to one in NYC and this location is just downright shameful compared to it.

    Love:

    1) Call me Birdie because I loooove cheap cheap cheap drinks! The HH prices are really great. Living across the street doesn't help me limit my drinks though, haha

    2) Delicious 600 and under calorie meals. Free soda refills.

    3) Really nice servers. I have never had a server issue here and I've been coming here for over 10 years.

    4) If there's ever an issue with your meal, they will fix it with no questions asked.

    5) Most of the time there will be at least one cop on patrol in the parking lot.

    6) They are very cooperative in terms of splitting a check anyway you want.

    Hate:

Dirty Dirty Dirty...I clean down everything, I really don't have a choice!  The menu's just makes my skin crawl (I always sit in a booth in the game section).

The crowd that hangs around the bar...not exactly people I'd like to chat it up with most of the time. However, I've never felt unsafe here. Also, the place is still full of children at 11:30 pm, why are they still there?! Didn't they used to kick out kids at a certain hour? *side eye*

Food is slightly over priced, but I make up for it by only coming during HH, I don't get home until 7-8 pm M-F, so I always go after 9 pm. Most plates are mediocre, but found one of their new meals very tasty (see the photo).

All in all, considering my options in Rockville, it's as good as it gets. Orange Ball is closed, so they're no longer an option :(

Silly rabbit, Dave & Busters isn't even for kids! Our group had a less than stellar experience here over the holidays. Let's see, where to start...

Our server was a hot mess. He took 15 minutes to bring us drinks (in spite of the place being empty when we arrived), and then messed up one of our orders. By the time it was corrected, everyone else was finished with their meal. This agonizing experience took OVER 2 hours. No bueno.

As an apology, the manager gave us some free cards to play, except they didn't seem to work for any of us. We suspect they were blank. (Note to self: Blank cards = useless)

When we finally *did* get to play some games, the cards either debited but didn't activate the game (ahem, trivia, horse racing), or the machine was out of order (but not marked). Yes, I'm looking at you, skee-ball.

    Ugh.

The manager is a MAJOR D***CHE BAG!

Let me explain. I have been going to dave n busters since before college. Great CHEAP drinks and fun games, but this one experience has made me decide that I don't want to come back for a very very long time.

I have a Gold power card... yes I used to play a lot of games, but I couldn't find mine so I went up to the front desk to ask them to look me up in the system so they could print me out a new one (they have done this for me twice before). The manager tells me that they can't do that and that he can't be giving away hundreds of dollars (oh, please) of discounts without proof. He then snidely asks if I registered  my card. I shocked him when I told him that in fact I had. He then tells me that, he still can't help me unless I have my card number.

(I know that I can look my card up on any of the Kiosks in the game pit) so I call his bluff and tell him that I can walk downstairs and get it, but ask him to use the computer behind him to look it up. He tells me that his computer can't. BS. So I pull out my  iphone and begin to pull up my d&b account.

He asks me if we have a problem

I tell him that I am pulling up my number so he can print my card, he then tells me that even if he has my number he still can't help me???

wtf. If I remember correctly he just asked me 10 seconds ago if I had my account number... ummm, ok...

So, politely I remind him that just a second ago he said that he needed my acct #  to pull up my card.

He tells me that he is 'done playing semantics with me' and asks why I am bothering him on a busy Saturday night.

I look at him incredulously, flip open my phone just to be sure, and say, "uhhh, its Wednesday night." Then he stares down his nose at me (he did have a rather long nose, lol) and says loud enough for everyone within 15 feet to hear him, "DO WE HAVE A PROBLEM?" "DO I NEED TO ASK YOU TO LEAVE??" uhhhhh... huh?!?!

I looked at him like he was from mars, contemplated if it was worth getting thrown out to get my players card so I could spend even more money at this sort of place and decided it would be better to just take my rage out on yelp.

I'm sick of these kiddie establishments that hire managers too stoned to know the friggin day of the week.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MY DAVE AND BUSTERS?!?!?!?!?

D&B was once the happiest place on earth (or at least Rockville Pike), but now...now it's just a sad over-sized Chuck E. Cheeses!

I used to work in an office right across the street from D&B.  When they first opened up, my coworkers and I would settle some of our disputes over a few quick games in the Arcade.  It was clean, the air was fresh, and the games were all new and in fantastic order.

A few years go by, and D&B became our office's default happy hour spot.  The big main bar in the front of D&B was a perfect place to congregate, have a few drinks and let the day just wash away from us.  The bartenders were funny and fast, and half the time, they knew just as much about our office drama as any of us!  We didn't play as many games as we once did, but usually on Friday nights a few of us would head into the Arcade for a few rounds of skee-ball while waiting for the food to come out.

Those were the days of being at D&B so often that when I walked through the front doors, the bartenders would start making my apple-martini and have it ready by the time I reached the bar.  Those were the days of coming into D&B at 10am with a friend, and not leaving the D&B (nor the barstools upon which we were perched) until they closed at 1:30am.  Those were the days of hanging out at the bar with the bartenders telling funny stories, and getting us to buy the odd cocktail concoctions they "invented", and bold-faced lying to them by telling them that they were delicious and should definitely be entered into random bartending contests.  Those were the days of eating mounds upon mounds of the delicious bar-burgers, and having the time of my life!  Those were the good ol' days.

Now...now those great bartenders have been replaced by cranky, bored, and stoneyfaced bartenders that pretend they don't see you.  The Arcade is overrun with small unsupervised children.  The games are all beaten up and outdated.  The food takes forever, and when it does get to you, it's cold and greasy.

WHAT HAPPENED DAVE AND BUSTERS?  I know that we all change, but this is like a completely different bar - a place where tired adults bring their children in hopes of getting a few moments of solitude...not the fun and happening place where young professionals gathered for fun and frivolity!  Boo and hiss on these terrible changes!  And a major boo and hiss on management letting this tragic change happen!

Backstory - I grew up playing video games at Flipper McGee's, Timeout, Highs, 7-11, Safeway, Giant ... hell, anywhere where I could pray at the alter of a 25 cent high (yes, they actually used to have video games at grocery stores - then parents apparently realized what a cluster that was ...).

Yes, the "prizes" are the kind you give for gag gifts at your office secret santa pool. Yeah, the food isn't gonna make it to the pages of a James Beard cookbook. But if you can check your Kierkegaard sensibilities at the door and put down your lastest copy of the Economist and loosen up a bit ... you'll have a good time here. And yes, the alcohol goes a long way in helping along the process ...

Note about the food - the sliders and fries were good. But then again, I'm a sucker for King's Hawaiian bread. Stick with the basics and you should be fine.

P.S. Convinced that the Flaming Finger game is rigged. Rigged I tell you. F-U Namco!

    Oh hell.

I was going to try and explain why I don't like Dave & Buster's [specifically in relation to the "feeling" I get when I'm there], but it really is difficult for me to explain. My first cut at a review of it was a bunch of rambling that made no sense, and the second wasn't much better [if not worse].

    Let's just say this.

    1. D&B makes me feel dirty. Not because I do bad things there, but the atmosphere and some of the people it attracts give me the skeeves. The few times I have gone there have been followed by showers upon my arrival home.

    2. The games really aren't that fun. [Unless you happen to be with a particularly awesome group of people, and if you are wouldn't you rather be spending your time in a place that's equally awesome?]

    3. The prizes are shit, unless you enjoy paying out your arse for Nerd Ropes, plastic bling, and D&B shot glasses to commemorate the event.

    4. The food is just...ew. I mean, typical bar food but with less taste and more grease and...ew.

Now, because no one likes a Negative Nancy, I will say this about D&B.

    1. I have a couple of good memories there, but they have much more to do with the company I was with than D&B itself.

    2. Alcohol can numb the most awful of situations.

    3. You can get the people at the prize counter to give you free stuff sometimes.

You're already feeling dirty, so why not ride the feeling until you can go home and wash yourself?

This is a terrible place. It's a nightmare. It reminds me of the haunted arcade episode of "Are You Afraid of the Dark" except with date rape and San Diego Chargers fans. If you have any reservations whatsoever about going here, don't. I have gone against my better judgment too many times (a friend likes this place) and regretted it. I have never spent a moment here not wanting to leave.

If you want fun, just buy a bottle of generic vodka and a few bags of Combos instead. You can even be alone and it's better than this snake pit of underage, heavily made-up skanks. I am pretty sure this is where Bang Bus goes to recruit, because every guy there looks like a skeezy rapist (except me of course). Yet they still pretend to strictly card everyone who comes in. How can this happen? There are people in there who appear to be on the cusp of puberty, surely accompanied by nice young men who will explain to them how their bodies are changing.

The games seem outdated -- I'm pretty sure they have a Jurassic Park game I played at Exhilarama in 1994 -- and the service is lousy. You have a 1 in 4 chance of getting a bartender who shows some semblance of caring or competence. If you get the bottle of Coors Light you ordered in fewer than five minutes, consider yourself fortunate.

Or you can watch their bartender magic as they carefully measure out every element of your drink and take their time. It's like watching yourself make a drink at home, where you should have stayed. Oh, but it costs quite a bit more than if you had made it at home. And just like at home, there are frozen dinners you can enjoy, except they are $12.95.

Why not just go to a decent place in the city if you're going to spend that much? Or for God's sake just go to the Hooters up by Twinbrook.

I confess that I have occasionally been a part of that Thursday night Asian crowd at D&B's. But no more - I've grown out of my "ooh, who else is here?" phase and I now go to cooler places to sit and waste money with my friends.

The games are fun, and they have a pretty good selection of drinks, but do NOT depend on the food here being anything but below average. It's extremely salty and will make you feel disgusting.
