Dave's Southside Tap

I have been here more times than I can count.  I myself am not a huge fan but everyone I know that has been there thinks it's an okay spot to grab a drink or eat a hamburger.  I just have never really felt the vibe of this place.  For one I like bars that are a little more dimly lit and comfortable with a better seating selection.  This bar always seem like a very local crowd with not much diversity in patrons.  You seem to see the same people there all the time.  I have never felt that they are all-too-friendly here but again that's just my own take on it.  My family comes here all the time and they seem to always enjoy it.  If the bartenders had just a little more personality I think the place would be great.  I have been here three times in the last two weeks and each time the bartender almost looked annoyed at having to take a drink order.  I was also bothered that they don't seem to ever have the sound on any of the games that they play.  Stopped in with a buddy for Game 6 of the Heat-Spurs series after calling to see if they were playing the game and there was no sound so we stayed for one and relocated to BWW.  There are pull tabs here and a pool table which can be a good time but the pool area is always crowded with the same people and it's hard to get in.  If the back area was turned into some sort of pool room and they moved the gambling back there and turned the area that is now a pool table and pull tabs into a long booth with tables I think the feel of the bar would instantly be a lot more enjoyable.
