Deer Park Tavern

Food was pretty good.  Stuffed burger was very good, but fries were underdone.  Barbecue pork was bland as was the roll, with too many chips. Chowder was thick and tasty.  Service was good.

Stopped here during the wine and dine which was located upstairs. It was set up nicely so easy to get wine and food.   Ordered an order of meatloaf, mac and cheese and meatball with gnocci.   Meatloaf was sweet and really tasty.   Mac and cheese was dry and could use more salt.   Mc Glynn's which I think is same owner has much better mac and cheese.  Meatball was really good and tasted homemade but gnocci was a little overcooked.  Would come back again.

I give this a sold woohoo 5 stars for what it is.  I have to strat with Sunday Bloody Mary's.  Holy shit.  This is the BEST "make your own" BLOODY MARY BAR I HAVE EVER BEEN TO.  Start with a $4 16 oz glass of Vodka.  "Well" quality - but who cares, BECAUSE you bring it into the back room where the whole length of the back bar.  There are at least 30 kinds of Bloody Mary mixes, from the basics to the never before heard of stuff from Texas, New England, and the South. Mixers and spices that go on and on, they say over 50. Olives, crab meet, shrimp.  Unbelievable. There are shot glasses to sample before you commit.  On a Sunday, you"ll find a bunch of bikers (fun, friendly, boisterous) mixed with college kids and UD sports fans.  Two levels of outside seating, front porch and a covered 2nd floor porch.  Food is a deal.  Cheap and plentiful Sunday brunch, lots of choices (Chesapeake Benedict: crab cakes and dill Hollandaise).  Sunday nights are really off the chain, DJ upstairs, dancing, lots of hot youngins.  It's Sunday Funday.  I'm gonna try to upload some pics, because on this first nice Spring Day, DPT is rockin at its best.
