If you're looking for a casual evening and conversation with friends, Delizios should be at the top of your list.
I'd start out with a bottle of wine - I mean... it's a wine bar so you have to go for a bottle right? Especially if they've got live music going like they did the night I was there you'll want to just sit back and work your way through the bottle, or maybe two?
Foodwise you should definitely get the cheese tray - theirs is top notch and has some really interesting cheeses and other elements you don't see on your everyday one. Then you can go one of two routes: you can order a bunch of tapas and do a sharing thing at the table, or everybody can order form the list of entrees. My recommendation is to go the tapas route - last time I was there I had the salmon, which was flavorful and light but not as strong of a dish as some of the tapas I've had.
I have had food here from Brunch to lunch to just coffee, I have to say its just average food here. The food is good but nothing spectacular. I feel this place is half assed if you will, kind of sloppy. Last two times have been sort of a joke. The coffee, well the cappuccino's are mediocre and too big to be honest. The coffee had no depth to it. It was too light. Not a lot of flavor. Not impressed.
As far as the service, it tends to shotty. Never know what to expect but lately it's been crappy.
So, I think this will be the last time we spend our money here. Just not worth it.
Don't let the "Tapas" category fool you. Â It's by no means a tapas bar. Â It has a short "tapas" menu which is just a standard appetizer menu. Â The salad and entree menu are just as long. Â
That being said, it's still a good restaurant. Â My friend and I got the "picnic platter" from the tapaps menu which is just an assortment of cheeses and cold-cuts. Â Half were flavorful, half were bland. Â We followed that up with the strawberry walnut salad which was simple, but good. Â I was very glad they didn't drown the salad with dressing like most places nowadays. Â Finally, we split the Beef Bourguignon. Â The Gnocchi accompanying it was rather good, and the beef was fine. Â
The wine selection was good, and the waiter's recommendation was excellent.
All in all, a good restaurant to try.
