Delicious.
Every single time I've ever come I've only ordered the Apple Pancake, not sure if that's what it's called, but it's the special that they have where they basically take a gigantic fluffy pancake, put some baked apples on top, and just douse it in cinnamon sugar syrup. So good. Definitely recommended.
I always leave stuffed which is exactly how I wanna feel leaving a breakfast joint.
Added bonus: the prices are actually decent!
Portions are massive and their pancakes are heaven on a plate. I have a difficult time deciding between savory or sweet, so the two by four is the perfect breakfast for me. Or, if I am absolutely famished, I will get an omelette (which comes with a stack of pancakes!). Â The only problem with the Original Pancake House is the typical wait. Fortunately, they are pretty good at getting people in and out pretty quickly and they offer free coffee during your wait.
Review Source:For me...eating at a restaurant is much more than the taste of the food. That being said the manager or whoever this Hispanic man was that ruined my breakfast messed everything up for me on my first visit.
I ordered the pancakes, eggs and corn beef hash. I did not like the hash...just didn't settle right with my taste buds. I was sitting just over the wall from the kitchen so I could here this man asking my waiter what was wrong the dish.
The waiter said, "She just doesn't like it." The man said something like, "I'll go find out." The waiter said, "No!" as this man came around the wall asking me what was wrong with it.
I told him, "I just don't like it." He proceeded to tell me that they make it fresh and it's not from a can. I told him that I've never had hash from a can and that I just didn't like it. Very nice of him to assume I've only eaten hash from a can. Â He was pushy and abrasive and just messed up my meal.
The pancakes were okay but I'd rather not pay top dollar for silver dollar sized pancakes.
I think you can get so much more for your money at 'Wild Eggs'. They put OPH to shame.
