Decent size lounge - has a shoe-shine stand, which is a nice way to kill some time ($7 shoes, $8 boots). Â However, it's missing simple things like a luggage rack/closet which I have seen at every other Sky Club and it seems particularly crowded this afternoon - might not be enough space for an airport that is the Western hub. Â
All lounges are great, but this is right in the middle of the pack.
When you need a quiet corner. This is the place to come. The Delta sky clubs are very worth the miles or money spent. If you travel as much as me or even more. Sometimes having a quiet place to sit and relax is paramount.
I've been flying for my job for around 12 years. I've been in a lot of clubs, United, American, US Airways etc.... Over all in my mind, I feel that the Delta clubs over all are better serviced, nicer, and more updated than others I've been in (within the 50 states).  The LA one has a Library setting quiet room in the back of the club.. so nice to grab a nap on a lay over.
SkyClubs are great, and since SLC is a Delta hub, this club is large and in charge. Free drinks! Free food! Comfy chairs! Everything you want in an airport lounge and more! The staff is very helpful, usually, in getting flight issues resolved but it all depends on which FA is assigned when you're there. As for food, the breakfasts are much better than afternoon or evening food (bagels vs. trail mix and cheese). Lots of bug screen TVs. I wish they'd stock better reading materials.  The free magazines aren't worth reading (BusinessGolfDeskTie Weekly) and the newspapers  are typically gone by mid-morning.  It's definitely a great place to spend a few hour layover in Salt Lake City.
Review Source:I thought I already reviewed this club, but this is one of my least favorite sky clubs. Â The seating is crowded and there is such a shortage of outlets, that it is very frustrating. Â Many of the plugs along the wall don't work and the place is very dirty. Â The bathrooms are always extremely clean, but when I refer to the dirty part, I am referring to the dirty dishes that are constantly strewn around the place and are so slow to be picked up. The food is often out or limited to the crumbs and the dregs at the bottom of the bowls. Â This place is still better than sitting at the gate, but the SLC club does NOTHING to inspire me to renew my membership.
Review Source:Just as other Sky Clubs, this one gets crowded regularly. Â Ample (but uncomfortable) seating, electrical outlets galore, and the standard fare of crackers, cheese, and nuts. Â Attentive bar staff, and magazines to bide the time. Â For some reason, this one almost never has enough newspapers to go around.
By the way, if you are a holder of an Delta Amex Platinum, entrance is $25 if the need arises.
After visiting numerous Delta Sky Clubs in the globe, I would put the one in SLC near the middle, like all Sky Clubs, this one can crowded during peak hours, which is most likely due to having only one in a major hub city.
The place is considered mid-size among most sky clubs. Â Instead of a self-served wet bar like most states, they have bartender here, which might be a plus for me since I am terrible at mixing my own drink. Everything else seems the same across the US with coffee machine, same snacks, oatmeal, bagels, and staffs going around keeping the place clean.
On a side note, outside of US, clubs are a slightly better with cultural snacks, but still no full sized meals like foreign airline lounges.
I like the styling of this Sky Club, as other clubs seem to have gone towards trendier designs. This one has an older but modern feel, and truly feels like a lounge.
I had a 4-hour connection here. Snack selection was alright and due to state law, liquor required a bartender rather than self-serve. The bartender I had made good drinks, though.
Not all the outlets work so it may be tough trying to get work done. However, there are renovations going on which may fix that.
I just think that for a hub, this place could be better.
Wow! The first review here!!
In my quest to review all Delta Sky Clubs I find that I have been here a number of times but deficient in taking time to offer a review.
The Good!
Lots of space, although it can be crowded during high traffic times. Open space, work space, even a conference room!
Free booze...if your not snobby the selection will do just fine!
Decent coffeefrappamochalatte dispenser.
Lots of help keeping things clean
Tv's and space to socialize if you just need to unwind.
They have they really awesome date and but cookies. Like high-end fig newtons. Yummalicious!
The ladies at the service counter are always pleasant and efficient.
The bad
Some of the chairs are old and saggy from too many fat entitled asses...but hey, that's life.
The ugly
Nothing really, I have noticed that the door screeners could use an injection of friendliness. I got a look today from a well coiffed dude, from over the top of his glasses that made me shudder.
Overall, with the remodel I like this sky club much better!
