The absolute best and my most favorite place for authentic comida Mexicana!!! I grew up with good, homecooked Mexican food, but this takes the cake! It is so popular that there may be a line inside the cramped little hut. The short wait and minimal space are completely worth it! The amount of food given is very generous. I ordered what I thought were three small (corn tortilla) tacos and ended up with a huge take out box of tacos that were filled to the max! Freshly made and still hot when you get it. Even the pan dulces available are always fresh. They have a variety of Jaritos and other beverages. I highly recommend this place. It is not a place to sit and dine, but one that is best to carry out and eat outside (if the weather permits) or take back home and indulge!
Review Source:Being Mexican, once a week I crave the tacos I'd visit in the town markets in Mexico, with all their salsas, savory meats, little grilled onions and pickled veggies. Demetrio does not disappoint! Tacos de lengua topped with their salsa verde are my personal fav and always order a side of cebollitas, to do otherwise is blasphemy!
Just a warning, your eyes will be bigger than your stomach! Order two (that can easily be split in half, making four taquitos) to start off!
Food : 5/5
Service: In Spanish 5/5, in English 3-4/5 (They do their best to make sure to answer all your questions in English)
Location: 3/5 I'm okay with hole-in-the-wall's others don't appreciate the atmosphere, but they sure aren't moving or expanding anytime soon. We asked and they are happy keeping their current clientele happy and staying put! Plus there is always To-Go.
When do they close? When they run out of food of course!
