I can only comment on their pizza. Â Delicioius! Â My friends ordered it and picked it up, and since I was out of town, I was at their mercy. Â They knew what they were talking about!
Granted, it was different from my beloved Chicago-style pizza, but it was still good pizza. Â The crust definitely tasted homemade and was different from any other crust I've had... Â That's probably why Harsi's stands out for me!
We had the pepperoni and jalapeno! Â Definitely worth it to give them a call!
Dine in, carry-out, and delivery. What Cugino's is on the NE side, Harsi's is on the West or NorthWest side.
It's been a while since I've been there, as I now live on the east side. Â But Harsi's is a ;legend in the Eagledale neighborhood. Probably been in existence for 15 years or so. Â (Was previously located just around the corner on 34th St).
They are much better, in my opinion, than any of the chain pizza stores. Â If you want to compare it to any though, I'd say it's close to Papa John's in quality and generosity of the toppings. Â It also reminds me of Cugino's Pizza on Franklin Rd in Lawrence.
Thick and generous toppings. None of that thin cut skimpy stuff. I think Harsi's pizza rivals Bazbeaux's, it's just not as "trendy" or "cool", but
the pizza is what counts! Harsi's is also a family-owned small business. Â
They are in a former Taco Bell restaurant, on the East side of Georgetown Road, a little South of 34th St. Â Not far from Lafayette Square. Â If you're shopping in the Laf Sq area, it's worth the drive.
The seating area is kind of cramped. Â The tables only hold 4 normal sized people. Â (If you're wide, you can only fit two per table.) Â There might be outdoor seating, but I forget. Â
But most of their business is carry-out.
