This is a definite pro/con place. Â Pros are great: tasty pizza, fresh stuff, friendly staff, and they are open late for the drinkin' crowd. Â But the one con is a pretty large one: the "large" here is a smallish medium anywhere else I have ever been. Â As Lindsay said in her review, the "large" pizza is not enough to feed two adults, and the pricing was on the higher end for what we got. Â Honestly, I liked the pizza a lot, but was still hungry after eating half. Â I was honestly thinking they confused my order, but was told the 12" box was their "large". Â Naw, I'll get a real large elsewhere.
Review Source:Despite assurances from the person who took my order (and had great customer service and phone presence!), the "large" pizza I got was far from enough to feed two hungry adults.
The pizza itself has a nice flavor and the aroma was remarkable. In fact I did remark upon it on my way out of the store, and that's why I was so disappointed to open the box and see that it was the size of a $5 Little Cesar's pizza at nearly three times the price. The ingredients are obviously higher quality, but I wasn't fully sold on the crust, which was tug-of-war tough; and a little dry. Just about twenty minutes after bringing it home it had the texture of microwave re-heated pizza.
This pizza is expensive to be so mediocre. In the future I'd rather pay less for lamer pizza or more for excellent pizza.
I like this place. We have eaten their pizza at least 10 times and it is consistently good. Tonight we ordered the East Colfax, which has a spicy sauce and hamburger topping. Nice thin crust and really good flavor. Always loses something with delivery, so I think it would be even better if you could eat it right out of the oven, but that is not possible at this location, or at least we have not done so and when I have walked by the place seating seems very limited. A good place to get tasty delivery when you are too tired to cook at home.
