This place is awful!! The people in the front are so rude! The manager or who ever he is has an attitude and is a jerk! He thinks he is better than everybody and well get a grip you work at a hookah bar you ain't nothing! There used to be a girl that worked there and she was nice and always had good customer service but now they have a guy who sucks!! This place used to be nice to go to and now it's somewhere you would go if you want to be treated like shit. I wouldn't give it any stars but this thing makes me give it 1
Review Source:This place is a great hookah its one of those hookahs that will have you askimg when are we going back! Coals are good too and theyre always on point you'll have new coals before you have time to say "I love this place" you could keep reading this review or you could be googling how to get to desert nights, if its a weekend you'll see me for sure and its going to be a good time
Review Source:This is one of the few hookah shops left in Riverside. Â The people are little interesting, the place is a little dark. Â The hookah is pretty good. Â The environment is really chill and there is outdoor seating as well. Â The vibe can be a little daunting if you've never been there before though.
Review Source:The one stars for the phone call and post about how it went from a 5 star to a 1 star are both quite funny since that is never how the place has been since I have been going there.
I go with a group of friends at least once a week for the past year to year and a half since, while my friends who live in the area go more frequently. We can all say that it is worth the drive from the OC because of the atmosphere, quality of the hookah, and the environment. Wonderful place just to kick back and chill with a group of friends, especially when you don't have anything else to do.
Staff is awesome, not super chatty but once you get to know them, they really hook you up. They just had a new vent system installed, so they have real, good quality coals and no quick-lites or low quality coals. Coals come around pretty frequently, but if you get up to ask, they are extremely prompt in responding to any service requests.
They have happy hour, which is a must, and a super deal as well as a punch card for loyal customers.
I would definitely check the place out if you are in the area or you are tired of bad service and bad quality hookah elsewhere. It is definitely worth your time and money.
I used to love coming here for the friendly staff and great regulars. Everyone made it down to earth and fun, now its turned into crap. The staff went from friendly, to rude, and their coal service is awful. You sometimes find yourself waiting a long time for new coals, while you see all the workers just sitting down and hanging out. If your prices weren't so high, Id not be offended by shitty coal service. Lately it seems that the cool old regulars have all been pushed out to other hookah bars while these underage trashy kids invade the place. You can't walk into the building without passing multiple groups of kids drinking and smoking pot in the parking lot then bringing it into the establishment. People are constantly drunk and falling all over the place, its disgusting. They used to play a variety of music genres and now they let the same drunk kids control the music and all you ever hear is the same 20 techno or rap songs every night. Why have the large variety of music if you won't even play new stuff. If I wanted to go to a rave, night club, or bar I would have, but instead I go to a local hookah bar to sit and chill with my friends, now I can't because the music is usually so loud you can't hear the person next to you. The restrooms are even worse. Now they hardly have seat covers, paper towels, soap, and sometimes they're out of toilet paper. Isn't that a health code violation? This place seriously went from a 5 star to a 0 in no time. It really is a shame.
Review Source:The person who gave this place one star because of a phone conversation cracks me up. Who cares? Maybe he was in the middle of something. Maybe he thought you were a prank caller. Get over it.
That said, there's always the same 2 guys running the joint. They're cool, sort of suave and polite but not over the top friendly. It's nice... I go there to smoke, not to chat up the owners. The attitude fits perfectly with the vibe.
So, my boyfriend and I go here quite a bit. It's really nice, and I don't feel rushed like I do at some hookah lounges. The atmoshpere is really great, with couches inside and a huge patio courtyard thing with tables and chairs. They have packaged sodas and energy drinks and stuff.. overpriced. Duh, take your own in.
Happy hour here is the greatest. $5 for two people... SO worth it. They have about a million flavors, our favorites are margarita, watermelon and strawberry-kiwi.
Definitely check this place out, at least once. If you're looking for cheap hookah in Riverside without hassle, go here! This place deserves a better wrap. :D
I called this place be cause I thought it might be nice to go to some place different. Â So I called to find out if they serve food and what their hours are. Â The person who answered was horribly rude. Â He angrily stated, "This is a hookah bar we don't have food!!!" Â Like I was the dumbest person on earth to think they might have food. Â I started to say that "The name is Desert Nights Cafe, cafes usually serve food." Â He hung up on me in the middle of what I was saying. Â If it's only a hookah bar why isn't the name Desert Nights Hookah Bar? So who's the stupid one, they don't know the difference between a hookah bar and a cafe? Â If I want hookah I ain't goin' to this place!!! Â Great customer service!! Â Sorry, but I can't imagine this is anything but a horrible place to go to. Â I'd give it a zero if I could. Â I know several mediterranean restaurants that have hookah. Â I'll go to my regular place where I know I won't get treated like dirt.
Review Source:I love this hookah bar; it's reasonably priced, they got the good flavors, and they definitely hook you up if you're a regular. the atmosphere is nice, dark inside, loud music, and WELL VENTILATED. i will admit that some of the people who GO there are a little ridiculous, but as far as the people who WORK there, some of the nicest people!! my friend locked her keys in the car and they helped tried to get it open and wouldn't leave till they got it open. we stood out there for a good two hours.
inside it's not over the top. nice furniture, nice TVs, and a good sound system.
my only complaint with it is the fact that a can of soda is $2, which in my opinion is pricey.
it gets REALLY REALLY crowded on a friday/saturday night, i mean NOWHERE AT ALL TO SIT. my posse and i normally go on a tueday or wednesday night, where there is practically nobody there.
