So I'm a loyal  customer, been at this bar for years. It's no longer diegos, it's now "benchwarmers" i love this joint, mostly because my friends both work and play here. But I'm here to tell you guys about the burger.
I grab the bacon cheese burger, this is a very lax atmosphere, so don't expect your food to come flying out of the kitchen. Out arrives and looks pretty good. The bacon could've been a little more crispy but all in all on looks alone, it's looking good. I take a bite, it's cooked well, a little to well for me, it's seasoned and dressed well and overall tastes good for a dive bar burger. Nothing special but good enough!
I went here a few times with my bestie (Lisa M.) and a few other folks. The drink prices are really good and the space is usually not too busy. I don't like all of the DJs that work here though. The first one we had was amazing. He played all types of music and threw in everything we requested. We danced the night away. Maybe we're just missing him but lately the DJs play mostly hip-hop and don't play too many requested songs.
You can usually find Diego himself walking around the place. There is plenty of street parking, a small parking lot next to the bar and a larger parking lot a few houses down the street. All the parking is free.
I heart Diego's!
It's very clean, the staff is awesome and very friendly and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. The prices aren't too bad and they have a dj in the upstairs bar on the weekends which I am a huge fan of dancing to. Haven't tried the food yet but hope to soon.
Just a side note - Diego is super nice and is almost always hanging around the bar talking to customers and sending out free drinks! Keep up the good work!! :)
Just opened in October. Owned by Diego, formerly of Q102, who grew up in the area, and loves Philly like no other man alive.
Diego's probably been to every bar in a 100-mile radius, and, based on that experience, he's created a great local bar for the folks in Bridesburg~ and anyone else who's smart enough to use their GPS.
Pros:
A great neighborhood bar.
Recently remodeled, fresh paint, etc.
Locally owned & operated- not a creepy chain trying to act local
Easy access from 95.
Great DJ's
Friendly staff.
Local Celebs dropping in unannounced
Diego's a Hottie
Cleanest bar I have EVER been to. EVAH.
Small parking lot on the side, but plenty of street parking
Cons:
I don't know how to parallel park. At All.
I was having such a good time, I forgot to inspect the bathroom. I know y'all expect that of me. Â I promise to check next time, K?!

Regular bar with tables downstairs. Upstairs a private party room with full bar, and a small dance floor. Just the right size for getting crazy with your peeps. Â
The bouncer even offered to card me, and I ain't been carded since I was 17.
Much love for Diego in his new place.
