Union Transfer

I've fallen in love with this venue lately.  It's big enough that you don't feel like you can't move around to the music and small enough that you still feel close to the musicians on stage.  The balcony is awesome and it's (still) really easy to find nearby (free!) street parking.

The sound at this venue is amazing. The bartenders are great too. Best place I've seen a show in Philly.

The old Spaghetti Warehouse has been transformed into what must be the city's best intimate venue to hear live bands.  The space is just amazing.  Wooden beams and rafters, a cathedral-ish ceiling, a balcony with metal railings upstairs, amazing chandelier light fixtures & not a bad spot in the house.  

We went to see Junip and the crowd was such an interesting mix of hipsters and aging XPN-listening hippies and us, haha.  At any rate, the space definitely added to everyone's enjoyment of the show.  The line-up looks pretty eclectic.  Tonight I think it's Black Flag for example.  Go if you have a chance.  Plus Prohibition is right around the corner for post-show drinks.
