Great place to sit and have a GOOD drink and talk to friends if you want to have a low key evening. I will definitely be returning here!

Celebrated my bf's birthday with an old-timey trip to Franklin Mortgage and Investment Co.'s speak easy. We stuck with the top 3 required reading drinks and had the dark and stormy, which was refreshing, the Pimm's cup, lemony and also refreshing, and the Blinker, which was a little too strong for my taste, but it was definitely made well. They keep the place very true to what you would think a speak easy would look like (very Boardwalk Empire) and they will only seat as many people as they have seats for. There's no standing room only seats here. If you know someone who loves things that are old fashioned, you should definitely take them here!

If you're looking for a place to take that special someone or a client and want to impress, look no further. The Franklin Mortgage and Investment Company is one of the premier locations in the city to do just that, with a fantastic location, right in the middle of the Center City district, and an ambiance that transports you back several decades in one fell swoop.

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to go for a farewell to a close friend, who was moving away for a 6 month placement in a different city, and wanted it to be a classy night out. We started out at Franklin, and moved from there to a few other locations, which I'll be reviewing in later reviews. For now - Franklin.

The drinks, which are what you're here for, obviously, are divine. Our group sampled a variety of drinks, some virgin and others as strong as they get, and they were all getting rave reviews. They use the best liquors, the best ingredients, and the most eclectic combinations to really set off that "wow" factor in your mouth. Without a doubt, these guys are giving good competition to the also-close-by Ranstead Room, another Prohibition-styled speakeasy.

Even if you aren't a drinker - don't fret! The virgin drinks are just as good as their grown-up counterparts, and that's certainly a welcome sight.

Do be warned, the prices are on the higher end, so don't go in expecting to walk away with an unscathed wallet, but at the same time, you're certainly getting your money's worth. If you've got the money to spend on an experience that you're surely not going to forget, go for it without a second thought!
