Hog and Bull

I spotted the Hog and Bull on my way home one day and decided to stop in and sample their wings. The menu has a little bit of everything but is built mostly around pork which really peaked my interest. The bar has a very nice selection of tap beers and is quite large, probably capable of seating 40 to 50 people with additional table seating available.

My Barmaid was named Carolyn and was the most pleasant, down-to-earth, genuine gal I've ever talked to at a bar. She's the kind of girl you would want your son to marry - anyone who would laugh at my corny jokes can't be all bad.  She took my beer order and made some food recommendations. I decided to go with the Hog Buster - a pulled pork sandwich with grilled ham, and a mound of bacon with cheddar and American cheese.

The large sandwich arrived with a side of chips and did not disappoint. This sandwich was so scrumtilious that I had to pull it apart to see what was going on in there. The answer was simple - the pulled pork had just the right amount of bark to please even the most discriminating BBQ pit master.

For me, the key to any food is "would I order it again". Taken by itself the answer for this sandwich is most definitely YES! However, here lies the rub - There looks to be so many other awesome items on this menu that I will have to try at least three quarters of them before I swing back to the Hog Buster. I know, my life is difficult.
