Crab Pasta and Trivia Night on Wednesdays? YES PLEASE!

Been going here for about 3 years religiously. Sunday's have moved to Wednesday for Quizzo. I always get the same things as mentioned before but, the wings, are now my favorite. Maybe they read my review because usually, they are nice and big. Definitely my favorite wings in the area.

The beer selection on tap is still sparse but, they did recently add a few new taps and they seem to be trying to catch up with the rest of the beer world by offering more craft-style beers. I think  they'd pull in a much larger crowd if they offered better beers.

They still charge for soda refills. That kinda irks me.

I got a bad feeling when we walked into this place and saw a host of sad sacks puffing away on their cigarettes. There were a fair amount of people here eating in the dining area and at the bar. The decor of this place reminds me of the places my family used to go to in the late 70's and early 80's. The people sitting at the bar all seemed to be long time regulars. The people sitting in the restaurant, with the exception of my friends and I, were all 50+, if not 60+. No doubt they were attracted by the low prices for food.

We sat at a 4 top in the corner. I ordered wings and a Philly burger. The wings came out a little too fast. The wing sauce was watery and didn't have much flavor to it. The wings seemed to be old and freezer burnt. The Philly burger sounded good from its description on the menu.  Unfortunately, it was a big, hot, gloppy mess.  The bacon was way, way overcooked to the point of  being brittle and bone dry. The hamburger itself was very greasy. And the cheese, well it was weird tasting and looked more like they plopped some nacho cheese sauce onto the burger instead of real cheese. I actually stopped eating it about 3/4 of the way through because the grease and the "cheese" was upsetting my stomach.

Service was slow. We had to corral our server several times to get beer. The speaker in the corner wasn't working, which proved to be detrimental to our quizzo group. We could barely hear the quizzo announcer/host and had to ask for things to be repeated several times, since the obnoxious Cowboy fans near us were drunkenly spouting off very loudly.

  Later on that night and pretty much all of the next day I felt very queasy and had major GI problems.

   Going here for a beer would be the ONLY thing I might do again, since it was pretty cheap drinking. Even then, I'd probably only drink bottled beer, just to be on the safe side.
