Casual atmosphere, excellent beer and cider selection. Â All of their beers & ciders are brewed at the Philadelphia Brewing company, so they are always fresh tasting. Â I also like that they allow BYOF (food) as they do not sell food. Â I usually ride my bike there, but parking is excellent for cars as well.

Tis a wonderful bar!
Definitely an interesting place, which seems to have lots of locals that love it. I thought it was cool, but I'm not sure if I got the whole vibe.
I've been here twice now, once on a Friday night (standing room only) and once on a Saturday afternoon (much more relaxed). The beer selection is good since they have much of the PBC lineup, and the prices are very cheap. It's worth noting that it is cash-only, in case you're like me and generally carry zero cash on you.
The thing that bothers me a little is the bartender's grumpy guy/too cool for you schtick. This could just be a personal preference, but I don't generally find gruffness or  a rough and tumble brusqueness to be endearing. It didn't seem to bother others, though, it's worth noting.
They did have free Philadelphia soft pretzels when I was here, which was pretty awesome.
I definitely wouldn't be opposed to coming back here, but I'm not sure I would make the trip up here at the expense of trying a new place. I think that it's probably a good choice if you like cheap beer/liquor and don't mind some Philadelphia grittiness.
