Murph's Bar

Great Food, awesome looking bar (penny art!)...get yourself a beer mosa (blue moon and OJ) its the best combination of deliciousness!

Murph's is a bit of a regular haunt for me. Each visit is bound to bring excitement, an argument or various other rare encounters. Most of my favorite adventures over the last year start with 'Well I went to Murph's'.

The food is what you expect, you can eat it, mostly fried and pretty inexpensive. The drinks are priced reasonably, the bartenders are efficient and the bathrooms are kind of gross.

Bonus: Some nights you can catch some live music. You can smoke out back AND hold your drink/beer.

I dig Murph's.

The first thing you should know about me is that I love penny bars and bottle cap art, dim wooden interiors and interesting ceilings. Murph's has *everything!*

and i mean everything-- from groups of older, clearly just finished work drinking men belting out hits ranging from Ophelia to Buttercup, to a back "patio" on which you can smoke and to which you can bring your beer, great deals on ok bar food (like $1 tacos!!!!), cheap drinks and know-their-stuff friendly-enough bartenders.

I don't get out to Fishtown often, but Murph's will definitely be a spot I will make sure to hang out at when I go...
