You can't beat Top Dog's happy hour! Cheap drinks and a free food buffet.
There is a spacious indoor bar area and an outdoor patio with a few other bars and a bunch of tables. You almost forget route 70 is right there.
So the buffet is similar to a food table at a family BBQ. Today's selection included fruit, veggies, 3 pasta salads, a cheese plate, burgers, hot dogs, sausage and an alternating buffalo wings/potatoe skin tray. Not the best but for free not too shabby! To drink, I had an orange stoli and club as part of the $3 you call it menu.
The crowd is an interesting mix. Young professionals, middle age locals and senior citizens who were clearly just there for the buffet.
Two drinks and a free buffet for under $10 rocks in my book!
best kept secret with food!
My husband & I often eat at Top Dog. The food is great! Â Recently the menu has changed to mostly Mexican. Â Wonderful mexican delicacies.........the chile rellaneous were packed with deliciious mexican cheeses in a spicy tomato sauce. Â The quacamole was fresh and perfectly made. Aside from being delicious it is presented so appetizingly........our server Melissa was a delight - very prompt and knowledgeable. Â We will return......the back deck is a city dwellers dream..... palms, ponds with fishes waterfalls...etc. Â Give it a try.........you will certainly have a wonderful evening.........families love the outside deck

Ive been to Top Dog several times and each time ive enjoyed myself. It normally attracts a decent crowd that's fairly respectful. The drinks are reasonably priced for a club and the overall atmosphere is nice. If your more laid back and prefer a bar/ restaurant setting, I suggest staying downstairs. If you wanna dance and prefer more of club setting than the upstairs is for you. Depending on the day you go you might have to pay to get in. On other days they only have cover for the club upstairs, for which they also have you endure a pat down before entering. Also they're a little more strict on the dress code for upstairs too. I would suggest calling ahead and asking first. There dress code rules don't seem to be clear cut in some areas. I've had friends get turn away who were wearing similar attire to someone else they let in. Make no mistake this not an upscale place. I normally wear my standard uniform which is a black fitted t shirt and dark blue fitted jeans with a casual black shoe or black converses and have had no issues. The upside is they have a decent size free parking lot but the down side is it gets full fairly quick. It's worth crossing the bridge for every now and then for my Philly people. I would compare this place to manayunk brewery in that it has something for everyone. Unclear dress code lowers this place to four stars which may still be to generous.
