It was kind of a strange setup, with long banquet tables and chairs set up in a room off of the lobby of the hotel. I was a little worried about it when we walked in, and there was barely enough room to get into your seat without bumping into the people behind you...
The emcee is a DJ on a local radio station, and the opener was a regular at the comedy club who is a police officer in his regular job (he says) - he wasn't that funny. However, the next 2 comedians we saw were hilarious and well worth it!!
I went with a group of girls for a Girls Night Out and we got the Groupon/LivingSocial deal that let us have 2-for-1 so it ended up costing me $10.00 (plus an alcoholic beverage that wasn't overpriced) which I definitely think was worth the cost for the entertainment we got that night.
I guess it would be hit or miss on the comedic value, depending what comedians you are seeing that night, but I think it was worth it and would definitely give it a shot again! Not having to go to the Shore or to Philly to see some comedy is worth it.
I was skeptical at first. The room itself is just a big room w long tables. You have to sit next to strangers etc. The host and the 1st comic were so so but the 2nd comic (Corey something) and the headliner (geno bisconte) were hilarious. Well worth the $20 I paid for 2 tickets. The drink service was incredibly slow but on the plus side, they did not enforce the 2 drink minimum policy. Â I would go back.
