Came into NJ/Philly for the weekend, from good ol' Baltimore. Was planning to travel down to Philly for a drinkfest but chose to stay local to the hotel I was staying at, so we stopped at Clancy's instead. Imagine my surprise when a friday night at this place was pretty much dead. There were about 5 couples who were eating and about 5 of us at the bar. The DJ was spinning pretty decent music but there is no dance floor. The atmosphere was pretty chill, but I guess that should be expected since it is a pub. The bartender, Kyle (who is a female) rules! Super sweet and friendly staff that will def take care of you. If you're looking for a chill time this is the place to be but don't expect a heavy crowd on the weekends, its mostly for the locals.
Review Source:I agree with the other 2 reviews as far as it being a good sports bar. I watched the Phillies win the World Series here in 2008 and it was fun and exciting. They have TVs all over the place. The food is decent, not great, decent. I like their meatloaf even though it repeats on me something wicked lol. I guess it's the green peppers in the mix. Reminds me of my moms, she was very heavy handed with the green peppers. The twice baked potato that comes along with it is terrible though. Tastes like it just came out of the freezer and thrown in the microwave. Skip it and get the fries. Unlike the other reviewer, I've never had bad service. The ladies that work there are nice enough for me. Good place to grab a few beers, have some finger foods and watch a good game.
