Don't bother. Between dirty tables and messy floors, running out of different beers, then bring the wrong beer to the table. Slow service on a Saturday afternoon. What a terrible afternoon at McFadden's then to top it off they don't take Discover credit card. When I question the waitress why " we just don't" then she would not return my Discover credit card till I gave her another. She had the nerve to pulled my Discover Card away till I handed another. Never heard of a major restaurant outside a MLB ballpark not taking Discover, then hold the card as hostage till I gave her another. What I am going to do, run out with my wife and three kids skip out on the bill. Â My family enjoys dining out and have eaten at number of different restaurants I have never had a rude waitress like I had here. Should had patronize a local restaurant in South Philly. Forget this place.
Review Source:McFadden's for a pre or post sporting event is fun times. Â The drinks are definitely over priced but still cheaper than the stadiums. Â They usually have a fun DJ that plays music when they aren't broadcasting a game over the loud speakers. Â The outdoor space is great, as long as you aren't surrounded by a ton of smokers (though your chances of that are pretty slim considering that is where smokers like to hang out.)
I am giving McFadden's 3 stars because the atmosphere is great (4-5 stars) but the food definitely leaves a lot to be desired (2 stars.) Â Typical bar food, I guess that's all you need to get drunk people to spend money.
Thank you XFINITY Live and NBC Sports Arena for suggesting I watch a hockey game at McFaddens instead of paying a ridiculous $20 cover charge to get in!
Fish, the bartender, was happy and friendly as were the patrons also there to watch hockey and party all night. I wish I was in Philly for more than a couple of days so I could have returned and watched more hockey there.
Great bar, great atmosphere, great people. Thanks for putting on the Kings game!
