Jug Handle Inn

Ummm am I missing something here people? I've heard for so long that Jug Handle had the best wings around, so naturally I was pretty psyched when I finally had the opportunity to try them.  Well, either they have been severely over-hyped and my expectations were too high, or they just aren't that good, but they fell short for me.  I think this is another classic example of "big" being mistaken for "good."  The wings are really nothing to write home about.  I was disappointed in the sauce too.  The medium was more like mild, and the mild was basically drawn butter.
I also find it incredibly unnerving that there are chickens running around the premis. Who wants to look at their dinner frolicking and thinking all is right with the world??
Decent beer list, but that's where it ends for me.

A New Jersey stereotype in action.  Tons of greased up guys coming to pound happy hour wings and beers.  Happy hour runs until 6 PM and patrons take full advantage, so you have the oddity of showing up at 5:30 to a packed bar and looking around at 6:05 at an empty bar.

Wings are good, but I was disappointed since they were billed by many of my fellow New Jersians as "the best ever".  Beer list was decent but not great and was mostly bottles, other than the standard macro-fare.

I might come back for wings on an NFL Sunday, but don't think I would go out of the way to come here.

Can't even count how many times I've been there over the past ??? years, (damn I'm getting old). The ribs are really good too.

Be careful, the hot wings are pretty "gosh-darn-diddilly" hot.
Personally, I get the wuss wings.

Usually a beer special of some kind as well as "The new fad drinks".

Also an outdoor bar and an extra bar room downstairs. If it's really crowded, check downstairs.

Almost forgot, Good burgers, and all this is available for takeout.
