I have been driving by this place for years and finally decided to give it a try. The prices are average, the menu is large, but I can only comment on the pizza. It was delicious, not over cooked, not too thin or thick. Excellent sauce to cheese ratio. Good sauce flavor and not greasy. I ordered it in store and it took 20 minutes to be prepared. The pizza makers called me over to inspect the pizza before putting in the box. **I gave specific directions not to over cook or burn the crust... I like it to be doughier rather than hard and burnt. It was right on point. I looked over the menu while waiting and will come back to try some of their pasta dishes. They also deliver which is a plus for an italian restaurant. The pizza was very good and reheated well the next day.
Review Source:This is a excellent Italian restaurant. The service is great and it is nice to see the owner frequently dine and interact with the clients. They provide a full menu including Pastas, subs, pizzas and gourmet salads. Good size portions a re served so it's yummy to take a doggy bag ;). The pizza is great my favorite is the veggie which is already very fresh and tasty. Â The garlic rolls are excellent (a must try) another plus is that all the food is made to order and is brought out in a timely manner.
The coffee is excellent my favorite is the latte (to die for) and hands down the best tiramisu I've ever had. Â I highly recommend!
I went here for lunch with a friend and I wasn't impressed. The place seemed old and service was slow. I ordered a calzone and a soda and my friend ordered a personal pizza with soda. Our drink order took forever to arrive and when it did, my friend had old food stuck to her glass. My calzone was ok, Â and she really enjoyed her pizza. Overall everything was ok, I've been to better places.
Review Source:Wow, what a pleasant surprise!! We had enjoyed meals at other DiSalvo locations in years past but had never been to this location. As a family-style restaurant this is as good as it gets! The food was excellent and the service, both server and bus were even better. The four of us had home style Italian dishes and all were great. Tasty, hot and served with "wet" hot garlic rolls ( my wife says "they are to die for"). Will definitely be back!
Review Source:Disalvos is a family favorite. When we want great Italian food thats close by we think Disalvos. To start off, we order the fried calamari and garlic bread. Let me tell you, the calamari is absolutely delish. Just squeeze some lemon juice on those suckers, dip them in the marinara sauce and you're good to go. The garlic bread never disappoints. The pizza is just perfect, and if you order a meal expect a to have leftovers because the portions are huge! (at least to me). What's the best part you ask?! You get great food at a great price!
Review Source:I decided to try this location after eating at the other one several times. Â I actually liked this one a lot better. Â The staff was very friendly and the restaurant atmosphere was brighter and happier. Â I ordered the veal cacciatore which comes with a small side salad and the rolls. Â The dish came with three fairly large pieces of veal and it was served over pasta. Â I was very happy with the portion size. Â Everything tasted great and I definitely plan on eating here again. Â Both locations are on http://restaurant.com so make sure you print out a coupon before you go.
Review Source:Good, reliable pizza with a medium/thin crust. They use Rosemary as part of the distinguishing taste which is a personal favorite. Recently ordered 10 pies (half plain cheese and the other half meatball). Delivery was on-time and they offered a slight discount for this size order. I haven't found the perfect pizza in Hollywood yet but this place shouldn't disappoint the masses. If you pick up the order they accept the Primecard which gives a substantial discount.
Review Source:Although I find myself eating here at least monthly, this place still leaves a lot to be desired. Â Simply put, this is a solid three star joint; nothing more, nothing less. Â The pizza is decent, but you can find better. Â The eggplant rollatini is top notch, and that alone makes it a place worth going to. Â The rest of the menu is mostly uninspiring, with a typical combination of stuffed shells (eh), baked ziti (eh), and some chicken dishes (eh). Â The garlic rolls are tasty, with raw garlic and oil bathed on the tops. Â The house salad dressing is also delish, and the lettuce is usually fresh and crisp. Â The place also needs a thorough cleaning - or, more seriously, a complete redecoration. Â It looks OLD and dirty inside. Â Still, for a quick bite of old school Italian, it'll fit the bill. Â Just don't expect to be "wowed."
