This is a unique find in a small upstate town. Â New York City quality food prepared perfectly. Â The salmon dish was outstanding and my wife's curry was excellent even though she ordered green it was red because of ingredients not stocked. Â Husband and wife owned and run. Â Go there, you will not be disappointed.
Review Source:Really lovely restaurant in Greenwich, NY. Being from NYC, I was happy to find that Greenwich had an eclectic and modern restaurant with a fantastic menu, and it wasn't too pricey either! It was nice that I could order beef stew with irish soda bread for saint patrick's day (mmm), while my boyfriend could order pad thai that could have been served at any upscale thai restaurant. Everything was delicious and full of local ingredients.
The kitchen was small, but the food came out really fast considering. The croissant bread pudding for dessert was to die for. If I'm ever in Greenwich again, I will definitely return!
The only thing that made me knock off a star was that this place was understaffed. One server was hosting and manning all of the tables! The place isn't big, but it was completely full, and I think another member of waitstaff would have had things running more smoothly. She looked really stressed out!
The best thing that's happened to Greenwich. It has an unassuming facade, but then you enter to the most wonderful aromas. It is very quaint with original tin celings and hardwood floors. Â Extremely friendly and helpful staff that really set the ambiance. A surprisingly eclectic menu for a rural restaurant in upstate NY. I will eat here again!
The Pad Thai and Reisling were delicious!
I love DISH with all of my heart. Every ounce of every bite of every morsel of every dish I've had is exactly what I wanted and more. It makes my day better. They also have the best coffee, like, ever. Obviously the owners/employees are super awesome. I mean come on, they have pad thai. In Greenwich. That alone makes you a winner. Top that off with outdoor seating, WiFi, a piano, couches, and books; they're always playing good music, and they're always having a good time.
Just don't read this and get any ideas.. like you're gonna come take over the couch lounge. That's my spot. I'm only half joking. You can hang out on the couch as long as there's still room for me.
I went here when there was a special Brazilian night. Â Delicious food and great live music! Â The food was perfect. Â The portions were just the right size so I was full but not to the point of feeling uncomfortable. Â I'm not that much of a seafood eater but the seafood stew was fantastic! Â DISH really has everything I look for in a restaurant, inviting atmosphere, fantastic food and great service from good people. Â I wish I didn't live so far away so I could go more often!
