I had a blast there the other night. Â Drinks are reasonable. Â It was very packed in there but it kind of added to the fun atmosphere. Â Everyone that was there was appearing to have a good time and the energy was very high. Â I won't make it a point to be a regular there but I will be back.
Review Source:My BFF and I were on a Karaoke in Fargo mission last Friday night. We tried one spot (a bowling alley w/a million bars within), but we had the wrong night. We decided to track down Rockstars and Divas, which is a strictly karaoke bar. Just what we wanted, Maximum Karaoke!! Â We were a little weirded out to see that it was in a strip mall, but the thirst for singing kept us on track. Â And so we entered...
I was horribly disapointed with this karaoke bar. This was a not-too-busy Friday night. We arrived at 11pm and were told by the bartender that they are open until 2am. I was happy to hear that, as it would leave us with 3 hours of singing time, so surely we would get a couple of songs in. Â Not so!! Â We both put in songs (I probably turned in around 5 or so) and a while after doing that, we put in one duet choice. Â We were called up about an hour later to sing our duet and that was it. No other songs for 3 hours. No individual songs. Nada. One of the reasons for this is because they have a VIP system that allows people to pay extra money and get a "VIP Card" that allows their song choices to get moved up in the line. Â I did not like this system, especially at a place that is strictly karaoke...seems like they should just go through the rotation since everyone is obviously there to sing. Â In addition to that madness, people were taking the wireless microphones and singing songs from their tables. Â Just sitting at the table, singing. Â What's the point of going to a karaoke joint that has a stage and inflatable instruments and wireless microphones (all nice touches, I think) and then singing from your table?! Â To top things off, they stopped the karaoke at 1:30am and did last call for booze at the same time. Â I'm not sure how that calculates to being open until 2am. I get the last call part, but keep the singing going, man! Sheesh.
Needless to say, I was not impressed with this place. Â I realize this is West Fargo and all, but c'mon. Poor example of a Karaoke Bar, in my opinion. Â I will not be going back.
