They have probably the best cream of crab soup I've ever had.  And I SHOULD have gotten the crab cakes.  The dude sitting next to me at the bar got them and they looked sooooo gooooood!!!!  I got the tuna and spinach salad instead.  It took freaking forever for them to bring out two salads.

Also I have a major issue.  The bathroom was beyond nasty.  It was one of the few times when I actually walked in a restaurant restroom and went "uh, maybe I don't need to go that bad"  ....Even hovering..... Seriously, no freaking excuse for that!!!

First time visitor to Annapolis.  Tried the crab cakes at Cantlers, Dock Street's are significantly better.

We went looking for the best crabcake Annapolis and we found it. Don't expect much from the decor, its a bar. But that shouldn't matter if the food is good, the service is prompt and courteous, and the check is reasonable. Dockside exceed the expectations... crab cake was fantastic - 6oz. of Lump and backfin meat with no filler, clean of shell and perfectly prepared. We also had the crab chowder with corn and clams - wicked good. The menu was small which for a bars probably a good thing. It's much easier to manage quality that way...and Dockside does what they do very well.

Picked this place because of the yelp rating.  Ordered the crab dip which was cream cheese, old bay and a few pieces of crab on top.  The crab cake sandwich, while loaded with crab, lacked seasoning. The worst part was the bill.  Half price happy hour cocktails don't apply to premium alcohol (no mention of that on their site, but im ok with that) but they charge an extra $5 to add olive juice to a glass of grey goose.  Then the credit card receipt comes and it's different (higher) than the bill...  In two words I felt 'ripped off'. I won't return and wouldn't recommend this place.

Cool little bar but NO beers on tap.  So it's bottle city...boo hiss!  Crab dip is good and fries are standard curly fries.

There are times when I find such a great place that it makes me regret good reviews that I've written in the past because in hindsight, the other places didn't hold a candle.  Dock St Bar & Grill makes me want to be so stingy...

We called a head to see if we could reserve a table but they don't take reservations... however, the guy asked how many we had and what time - we had 6 and a high chair...  when we stopped in, he had already set up a table upstairs and we were ready to go.  It was the perfect example of there are rules people and then there are just common sense people.  It wasn't crowded so why not set up for a large group?  And with kids in tow, it made SUCH a difference.  Tommy knows how to take care of his customers.  We had the entire upstairs and he never forgot about us, our drinks were always full and he made fantastic recommendations.

There were only rave reviews of our feast.  Crab chowder, 3 sauce buffalo wings and the crab cakes were particular stand-outs.  My bloody Mary was awesome... complete with olives - just like I like'em.

It was a rainy Sunday brunch but it sure seemed sunny inside of Dock's.  We'll be back for sure...

You must try the crab cakes. Also, if you're interested a non-conventional 3-onion soup, try that too. Such yumminess.

I had one goal when I took a trip to Annapolis with my girlfriend that weekend: eat fresh quality seafood. Well 2 goals... that, and spend quality time with my girlfriend in historic Annapolis. It was Sunday and the Ravens were playing on TV in this dark, divey bar/restaurant just off the wharf area in recently flooded Annapolis. I was skeptical of ordering anything from here at all, rather just getting a local brew and watching a pretty good game. Alas, my stomach won again and out of pure starvation and desperation I ordered an appetizer; lump crab cake. I thought I had made a horrible mistake, but when that cake came topped with even more fresh pieces of actual crab, I was sold. I ate it so fast that the waiter thought he never brought me my dish to begin with... I should have played along, but that's wrong.

I then went on to order one of my favorite seafood dishes, crab chowder. You can basically put anything into a chowder and it should taste half-way decent. This was no exception. Probably one of the best crab chowders I ever had, and I was already full from this monstrous crab cake I just ate by myself. I finished the entire chowder just as quickly and felt my heart slow down a little. Thinking to myself, if I just keel over and die now, I won't be too sad, at least I had some really good seafood. Thankfully I was just digesting, took a nice 3 mile walk after and felt good knowing that ultimately, I chose....wisely.

Anyways... get the crab chowder if nothing else.

My crab cake sandwich was good and I loved the curly fries. However, several people ordered burgers well-done and they got it overcooked. The top of the meat was totally black with a burnt bad taste. When we told the waitress about it, she said that well-done burgers are supposed to be like that. No they aren't, it just shouldn't have any pink in it -- eating burnt meat is quite harmful actually. They should've at least acknowledged the mistake and apologized. Therefore, two stars.

I was told to go to Dock St. if I wanted to try the best crabcakes in Annapolis. The restaurant did not disappoint as they are the best crabcakes I have had in a restaurant. There was so much lump crab and the tartar sauce was tasty. The curly fries were a nice change as well.

The crab dip stood out too and was extra creamy, but there wasn't enough old bay spices. The pita points went well and it was a great app to share among several people. The restaurant has a lot of charm with the stone walls but it is tiny and there is only one unisex bathroom. The biggest downside was the lack of any draft beer but the crabcake made us happy enough to overlook the beer selection.

We've been in this place three times and, each time, have had a really friendly experience with the staff.
It's a small place with a few good beers and a small menu of bar food.  The food is okay to nibble on but I've never had a full plate.
Me and my husband have had the Buffalo wings - a recommendation only if you're feeling brave and ready to gulpdown blue cheese dressing!
The first time, we were given some information about the area, as it was our first night in town.  The second and thrd, we asked to watch some sports and they obliged, turning down the music and turning up the television.
I believe this place is family-run and I can mostly say good things about it.
My one niggle.....due to it being so small, there is only one toilet.  I think this could be made into two - I'm not a huge fan of stepping in pee all over the floor....but I guess it's to be expected as the evening goes on.
Oh, I'm not sure there's a happy hour here.......

I was impressed with this restaurant when we got lightning fast service at 2 pm on a Tuesday.  However, when the service was just as good at 5:30pm on the 4th of July, I was astounded.  I had the seared tuna salad the first time, which was delectable, and the second visit I had the crab cake sandwich with curly fries.  I've had lots of crab cakes, and this one was memorable.  I enjoyed the dark hardwood inside the bar, and you can also sit outside if you're so inclined.  Good beer menu, and the chocolate cake was good as well.

It was a Saturday night, summer time, and the feeling was right. Until we felt like we'd entered a horrible blind date, where you listen to him/her lament over their exes, and anxiously await your bailout phone call.

I digress....We'd just had a very tasty dinner at Sakura, and wanted to grab drinks somewhere close. So we headed to Dock Street. I had fond memories of this place from a year ago, but now I know those memories were blurred into greatness by the many birthday shots I'd inherited. We paid a $5 cover. Now, I know that's cheap, but hey, $5 is a drink! Especially when inside, the place was deader than Adam Sandler's career. They were playing 90s alt rock; not the good stuff, either. Asked the ditsy bartender what was on tap. Answer: Nothing, only bottled. Awesome. And what kind of IPAs do they have? Only 1! So we all order our drinks. Then we find the well hidden staircase to the 2nd floor. We get up there and find a REAL happening scene. 2 sloppy drunk girls at the bar, a DJ, and bartender.

Now this really tops it all off: the "crazy" mix being spun by the DJ, was none other than....PANDORA!!! WTF?? Did I just pay $5 to buy an overpriced IPA and listen to a Pandora station in an empty room with strobe lights? Pretty sure I could've done that at home in my basement, only I'd avoid 'spinning' "Call Me Maybe."

Great food, reasonable prices and a good selection of unique beers. As a recent food network fanatic, I can appreciate good food and this place definitely has it!

The menu here is fantastic. You can get your typical 'grab a quick bite and a beer' food such as burgers, wings, and chicken fingers. Unlike many other bars in Downtown Annapolis, however, the menu offers higher quality choices, at great prices. From a grilled tuna steak sandwich to a Chicken Pesto pizza with bacon, this place has it all.

I'd suggest going in on a Tuesday night for $10 crab cakes and specialty burgers. I you like a sauce with kick, try the signature "triple sauce wings". You won't regret it!

    Staff is SUPER friendly too!!

Dock street is a hidden gem in terms of their food.  I have been going to dock street frequently for the past 5 years and have yet to be disappointed.  Unlike their neighbors Armadillo's Dock Street is very meticulous about the type of people they let into their bar, but that is just more so for the evenings.

With respect to their food, it is definitely unique in the sense that you would not expect to find well-thought out food in a small bar & grill.  Their wings definitely compete with anybody else's in Annapolis.  You should definitely try their in-house "Triple Sauce" which is amazing!!! Their burgers are cooked amazing and their Chicken pesto sandwich is phenomenal as well.  I would recommend people to go on Tuesday's when they have their $10 Crab Cakes, which are worth more than $10!  Great place, they get five stars because i obviously like the place if I've been going for five years now.

The best crab cake cesar salad that I've ever had.  My companion totally agreed.  It made up for the incredibly slow service, even though there were only a few patrons.  The outdoor seating gives you a bit of a view of the dock area.  Prices were reasonable, wait staff very amiable.  Can't wait to go back!

Enjoying some gorgeous fall weather in Annapolis recently (it had been at least 20 yrs or so since my last visit) and what a surreal flood of memories I experienced.  It was crazy to recognize so many little details from the past and forget so many others.  But one of the things I needed was a serious refresher on the crab cakes!

Dock Street was one of our first stops and being a Maryland native, obviously I knew ahead of time I was getting a crab cake.  Dock St didnt disappoint.  WOW what a thing of beauty!  Living in NYC for awhile now, there are countless places that try to imitate "Maryland Style" crab cakes.  And I have tried several of them.  But I can tell you with certainty that its not even close.  REAL Maryland crab cakes cannot be reproduced elsewhere.  Most places outside of MD use shredded crab meat, probably from a can and sometimes artificial (!), with a ton of mayo and bread crumbs.  Its more like a burger than a crab cake.  That is NOT how its done in MD.  The entire cake was made of huge chunks of delicious crab meat.  I didnt even want to eat it because it was so ridiculous lol.  But fear not, I thoroughly annihilated it shortly thereafter.

As for the rest of our items?  She really enjoyed her seared tuna salad, and the side of curly fries were tasty as well.  All items were cooked perfectly.  The beer and wine selection is on the small side and they were out of Stella at the time.  Blue Moon was a nice replacement.  The place is on the smaller side but has a great location right near the docks (duh).  There are also a lot of TVs which were used heavily for games on the day we were there.  Nonetheless, I was there for the crab cake and Id go back to Dock St without hesitation.

Dockstreet is one of my favorite downtown Annapolis (DTA!) bars. I used to go here every Friday night and do my share of drinking. On weekend nights there is usually a $5 cover charge. The downstairs area is kinda narrow, but they move the tables and stuff at night to make more room. The stereo overhead plays bar classics like Don't Stop Believing and a lot of radio rap. You'll dance, and possibly sing along, badly. Up the stairs to your right on the way in is a smaller bar, a dance floor, a little back room area and more bathrooms (yay!). Try your luck up here if downstairs is crazy.
The drinks are good, normal prices, and the bartenders and bouncers are really cool. They work hard, because weekend nights this place is hoppin. They're pretty tolerant of how retarded people can get.
I've had a ton of fun every time I've been here. If only the walls could talk! Stumble to the pizza place across the street before you leave DTA, you won't regret it!

Love! Dirty Panda was on point. Music was good and they don't skimp on the drinks. You get an actual drink and not just watered down juice. We had a great time!

The cream of crab soup was pretty dang good, I'll give that to Dock Street.  The tuna sandwich, though, was not so good.  It was a good cut of fish, and I realize that I ordered it medium-rare, but it didn't have an ounce of heat in it when I got it.  Unless it's sushi, eating cold fish just isn't all that appealing.  There was no seasoning or flavoring to the sandwich, either, aside from the odd wasabi paste that they drizzled on the top.  The whole entree just struck me as a very lazy dish.

Awesome music and crowds! Not sure about the big butt dancing on the bar. It was hard not to stare. But there were several other girls dancing on the bar and everyone had a great time. Wish they had opened up the second floor bar for St Patty's day..it gets crowded downstairs! This place has a good vibe and my girlfriends and I didn't run into any creepy I just want to hook up with you guys, just fun down to earth people.

I found Dock Street while searching for a location for a large party on a Saturday night.  All the places that I found required either a very early or a very late dinner.  Dock Street has an upstairs room that becomes a bar at 9 so we had to leave by then.  It was PERFECT. I spoke to the owner Kyle who listened to our needs and told us what he could do and then did what he said he would do.  We showed up and the room was set up as we requested. We had a few extra stragglers and an additional table appeared.  Theresa took excellent care of us and allowed us to have multiple checks which most places are reluctant to do.  Then there was the food, it was surprisingly wonderful. When Kyle told me it was pub food and they had great crab cakes i figured he was just saying that.  Well, he was completely dead on except that the menu was much more extensive then he let on.  My daughter had a seared tuna salad that i never would have expected in a pub.  She ate every last bite. The homemade soups were fresh and flavorful. Most of the tables had either crab cakes or hamburgers.  Every person said their meal was delicious. Because it is a bar there was an extensive beer and wine selection.  When it came time to get our bills, they were all handled accurately and efficiently.  Could not have been a better experience.

I do not work at or for Dock St., I am just a really big fan.  This place is my Cheers.  I was shocked to see they didn't have a Yelp page.  Since they are always so good to me and my friends, I thought I'd create one for them...

    Here's some helpful info:

    Open 11:30am - 2am, 7 days a week
    Kitchen open until 1:00AM Daily
    Happy Hour - Mon - Fri, 3pm - 7pm
DJ Dirty Panda - Fri, Sat, Sun

This bar has a great back story.  These two guys worked as bartenders in Annapolis together for several years at the hottest bar in downtown.  There, they were able to learn what makes a great bar and also what could make a great bar, better.  So many times they thought, "If I owned this place, I would  do this different..."  So, they got together and bought a place of their own; and did it their way.  All the things that they would have done different at the other bar, they have done here.  Beautiful, I know.  The American Dream.

This place hands down, has some of the best bar food EVER.  They probably take a hit on their food costs just for the quality, but that was something important to them.  The steamed spiced shrimp are what dreams are made of.  Their crap dip is piled high with jumbo lump.  The crab cake has like no filler and is classic Maryland in your mouth.  I don't eat burgers often, but Dock's burgers could change that. I'm not sure what kind of beef they use but it tastes like sirloin with the perfect meat to fat ratio.  The 'dillas are also really good!  The owners bartend on the weekends, which gives it a real homey feel.  The staff is super friendly and most of them have been staples in the Naptown bar scene for some time.  If you are new to the town and want to make friends, head in to Dock.  If you have lived here forever and haven't been to Dock, you have some serious life questions to ask yourself.

If you are big into music, you will appreciate DJ Dirty Panda.  He has done gigs all over the world and this summer, will be headlining some of the hottest clubs in Vegas and LA!  He plays to the crowd, but if you are a house fan, make sure to let him know and he will gladly melt your face off.
