Well at least they are open. Â As for food, if enormo portions of inferior food is your thing...go for it. Â Calamari way too much batter when it requires only a dusting of flour to be light, tender and delicious. Â But batter and breading is the name of the game here. Â Lots of breading on eggplant, chicken, you name it. Â Read: fried. Â Tomato sauce way too acidic...sort of like cheap pizzeria sauce. Â Veal? Â Forgettaboutit....no resemblance to palatable veal which is almost impossible to get in the south - the reason so many restaurants prefer to use pork as a sub....the pork in the south is good, good veal virtually non existent. Bolognese? Â One thing it is not is any old tomato meat sauce with cream added which is what it is here. Â But if you think Italian is something like olive garden, then you may think this is Italian so you will like it. Â Too bad.
Review Source:We really love Dominick's because you can choose half or whole portions and no matter which, there is plenty to eat. Â The restaurant is very pleasant inside and the service is excellent. Â Oh yeah, the dishes that we have chosen have all been great! Â My granddaughter loves the mac and cheese and I love the veal parmagiana. Â The menu is humongous and it is very popular with kids as well as adults.

I wasn't sure what to expect going to an italian restaurant in Watkinsville but I was pleasantly surprised. Â I tried the spaghetti and meatballs large portion and I couldn't believe the serving size. Â They weren't kidding when they said it would feed 3-4 people. Â I still managed to eat about half of it and had the rest for leftovers. Â The sauce was very good and spaghetti was cooked just right. Â The restaurant looks very clean, as it is in a newer shopping center. Â The decor and the atmosphere of the restaurant is also pleasant. Â I will definitely try to make it back to Dominick's when I'm back in town.
Review Source:Well, so, it's an Italian restaurant in Watkinsville. Friendly, cute, and young staff (family members?). Interior decor quite welcoming; environment VERY LOUD, so it's good for top secret conversations (as long as you have good hearing and lean towards your dining partner). Free wifi earns points as well. Honestly, the worst thing about the meal is the bread. I don't get the lukewarm, spongy, cakey bread with garlicky parmesan topping. It's not bread, in my book, but what do I know?! I did enjoy their ravioli the other evening with a supposedly mediterranean pesto. I think that means there are red peppers and kalamata olives in it, because I couldn't taste the feta. That's OK though. There were real pine nuts, yummy olives, and the Half serving was enough for leftovers, which I actually wanted to take home with me. My dining companion had the lasagna, which looked good as well. Reasonably priced, if not cheap, and relatively easy to get into, which is a bonus when Taqueria La Parrilla is packed to the gills. :) We'll be back!
Review Source:I have been there multiple times. Â Generally it has been good, tonight it was great. Â The spinach salad was out of this world. Â My wife had the eggplant parm, which was fantastic. Â I had the chicken and sausage casserole, it was steaming hot, perfectly seasoned. Â I was expecting the chicken to be okay, but they did something to it that made it perfect.
-update, returned in November 2012 and the food remains exceptional.
Great food, great service, moderate pricing. Â I was amazed to find that pasta could taste this good without "swimming" in sauce. Â At first, I was disappointed to find the pasta with only a very light coating of sauce, then I found that it was great! Â The "house" bread and salad are very, very good.
