A few days ago a coworker and I dined at Don Quijote as we were heading back to the Indy area, returning from a 2-day trip in Illinois. I recommended to my coworker that we pay a visit to Don Quijote, a restaurant I had visited a few times before. So we took a little detour to eat at Don Quijote, and I was glad we made the trip!
I don't know a lot about Spanish foods, so I cannot vouch for the authenticity of the dishes, but I can vouch for the delicious-ness of the food we enjoyed at Don Quijote, and the great service we experienced. Looking at the menu, there were a lot of good choices, but we settled on the traditional seafood paella for two.  It took a little while for the kitchen to prepare the meal, but it turned out to be a wonderful treat!  The saffron rice was nice, delicate and lightly spiced with peas mixed in.  The paella was packed with delicious, mouth savoring seafood- crab legs, shrimp (unfortunately still with shells on them), cod and octopus. We also share a half pitcher of delicious sangria (with lots of berries inside!)... and it was more like 2/3 of a pitcher too.  We topped off our meal with yummy desserts- I had a caramel flam that was very tasty.
The waiter did a decent job serving our meals (but maybe a little too business-like), but the proprietors were very friendly and outgoing and even offered us complimentary glasses of port wine!  And finally, the restaurant ambiance and atmosphere was very enjoyable. That evening there were two musicians playing traditional Spanish music on guitars and singing. Very nice job. Also, the restaurant was nicely decorated with Spanish tiles, painted murals, and even balconies and street lamps linining the dining hall!
The entrees were a little pricey, but this was a special occasion and we enjoyed an exceptional Spanish dish with not run of the mill ingredients.  All in all, a dining highlight and I would definitely recommend a detour to visit Don Quijote!
