Jimmy's Cafe

This place has been around a long time and it shows. They have all kinds of memorabilia on the walls. 80's music was even playing when we stepped in for a weekday lunch. There is kind of a woodsy, greek, americana vibe going on. The menu was simple and the pricing was good. My companion ordered the olive burger.  A must for anyone from Michigan or anywhere else for that matter. It was good. I had the half sized athenian salad. It was good as well. The pricing is great and as expected for a cafe like Jimmys.

Maybe it was a bad day, but I was not impressed!  Firstly the place is too small.  Everyone is packed in like sardines.  Place surely needs a makeover. Secondly, the  biscuits in my biscuits and gravy were burnt!   My bacon was just some pre microwaved bacon you buy in the freezer section.  Breakfast is hard to mess up in my opinion.  But they did it.  I wont go back.   Too many other good places in Valpo.
