Was en route to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch UFC162 but saw the TVs showing the fight while stopped at a light. Place is chill, but service got progressively bad. Server was Laura, amazing looking woman, but I waited an hour for a soda that I reminded her about after 45min wait, and it still took 10more mins, however when I first ordered beer and a burger it was quick; mind you place isn't that big. Now I feel like one of those asshole you hear about on yelp, but this place would be perfect if service was better....
But Then came the Vanessa the server, she was wonderful, friendly, and quick, and now Ill bump this place up 1 star because of her :)
Doral Billiards is the one spot I find myself always coming back to. The venue is clean and the tables are in good shape. Takes a little searching to find a decent cue stick but I think that's an issue many have with all public pool halls.
Food here is not expensive and surprisingly good. Definitely try the BBQ pizza. Drinks are standard pricing. $5-$10, it all depends what you order.
Employees here are friendly and the girls here all are attractive and are not stuck up at all. The regulars are also friendly and usually play at the tables furthest from the bar. Like most other pool halls, this is a smoking environment but it's not as congested as some of the others I've been to.
I will not deny it, I really like this place to play pool. It's close and clean. The prices are decent, the food is good, and the people don't mess with you. You would think the guys here would be all up in your grill when they see two girls playing, but no sir. I know I'll be back again. Besides, sometimes it's nice to play a friendly game.
Review Source:This place is great. Was in the area on vacation and ended up going on back to back nights. Always music going, the tables are in great shape. The waitresses are nice, on the eyes and to chat with. It is priced pretty fair for the area.
Will def go back when in Miami again. Great time...
This has to be the best place for pool in Miami. The tables are freshly new and kept in outstanding conditions. The waiters are on target and the jukebox is always playing. The prices are average but worth the charge from other local pool joints with beat down tables. The snack menu is great and fairly reasonable. Best of all, it doesn't smell like a saturated smoke box.
You most likely will find me here every Saturday afternoon taking down a cold draft.
Keep it up guys, Â you are doing a fantastic job with this place.
Doral Billiards (gasp) is actually a pretty chill spot. There are plenty of nice pool tables and since its relatively new, they're all still in great condition. Been here a couple of times with friends when we want to get out of the normal routine. Their jukebox selection has improved and the drinks are cheap and the bartenders are cool. Definitely a good spot off the palmetto for drunk pool'ing.
Review Source:It's a pool hall, what can you expect? The tables were in good condition, tv's with sports on, juke box so you can select music (make sure you select the music you like , we got stuck for a while listening to indian music ) .... Drink service was slow. I had to go to the bar twice to get drinks, no one approached us to get an order of drinks, finally got a waitress, asked for a pitcher of beer, and she brought two glasses, so much for understanding English in Doral. Next go around, I was very clear, "pitcher" of beer, and they got it right. As with this type of place, smoking / smoke is an issue, but they weren't that bad, didn't bother me too much.
Would I return? yes.
This is a great place to go to play pool or even hang out with friends while watching a big game on T.V. The tables are kept in excellent condition and if you arrive before 5 pm I believe it is only $5/hour for a pool table. After 5 pm the price does kick up to the usual rate which if I remember correctly is $11/hour. I have tried only a couple of things from their menu, but from what I can tell they are alright. Definitely shouldn't have high expectations for the food. Also like many other pool halls, smoking can become a minor annoyance from time to time at this place depending on when you go and who happens to be there, but most of the time it is relatively smoke free.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for their pool fix in the Miami area as the rates prior to 5 pm are unparalleled in the area, the atmosphere of the place is enjoyable, and the waitresses are attentive.
Overall I give it 4 stars not 5 because I think the food could be a bit better, but everything else about this place is fine by me.
it's surprisingly hard to find a good billiards place in miami. Â yeah, doral's a little off the beaten track, but it's also surprisingly quick to get to from most places in miami. right off 826.
the tables are in great condition. Â professional, tournament tables and there's tvs everywhere with tons of sports on. Â the drinks are reasonably priced as well. Â and the food isn't half bad (i've only tried stuff from the appetizers menu). and it's super chill. Â
their regular happy hour Happy hour is from 4:00 PM to 7:00PM Â and their pool happy hour is from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and it's only $5.00 an hour for up to 4 Players. Â they even host tournaments here.
be warned, they actually get pretty busy on the weekend nights. Â you might have to wait awhile for a table.
