Everything I've tried here has been consistently good. Â All the classics are probably best-of-kind in town: Â flavorful egg rolls and crab Rangoon; General Tso's chicken that actually has some spiciness and stays crispy; no "mystery meats" or overly gloppy/corn-starchy dishes as is too often the case in run of the mill American-Chinese places. Â A hidden gem I've found is their Mei Fun - thin, vermicelli-like noodles, with shrimp; so much deliciousness packed in such a tiny box.
Review Source:This family owned Chinese Restaurant is one of the best in town. Â I have ordered take out regularly for two years and not only have I never been disappointed, but have been very impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Â I have eaten much Chinese food in my life and know the food here is exceptionally good for take out. Â The vegetables and meats are very fresh--and the taste is superb with perfect sauces and wonderfully moist rice. Â The restaurant is a hole in the wall kind of place in the old defunct shopping area just off Washington Street behind Popeye's Chicken. Â However, don't be off put by the bare bones look of the place--the owners have put their money where it counts--on the food. Â Even the fortune cookies are good! Â What's more the owners are very nice and sweet and even bring their children with them in the restaurant. Â I very highly recommend this place for take out--especially if you live in the Irvington or Little Flower neighborhood. Â A really great go-to Chinese place which I give my highest rating.
