Drunken Monkey Bar & Grill

Dan's Place gets a new owner and a face lift. I guess this place used to be named Dan's place and was run by Dan. I tis now owned by the owners of Moonshiners. The service is really friendly and they are just getting up and running after a major overhaul of the interior. The menu is traditional bar food with chicken tenders and some good soups available. The special on Friday and Saturday nights is Prime Rib of course. it is a fairly good cut and the cook does season it well. I ordered mine medium rare and it was perfect. He also goes out of his way to make the meals pleasing to the eye as well as the pallet. They put a lot of effort into this place and the only complaint I have is they need more dark beer, Guinness, Murphy's or something along those lines. i am tired of bars only going as far as Amber Bock then calling it good. Some of us like to chew our beer. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I will be back.
