  Agree with Karrey's review below and I'd add that the jukebox has a great selection.  Can be tight quarters.  Worth it for the best pint of Guinness in town.

  simple bar, a place where everyone could know your name.  sitting at the bar, and looking back towards the billards table in the back is visually beautiful/elegant.

  A great little basement pub that's Irish themed, and it's one of the only places in town where you can get a shamrock in the foam of your Guinness when it's served to you. They've got just enough room for a bar, a few booths, a fish tank, and a pool table. Don't miss this gem.

  An Iowa City classic -- well, at least it's one of my Iowa City classics.  On the weeknights  it's chill enough for a drink, a smoke, and a chat.  On the weekends it is lively enough to keep your attention.
  
  Watch out for the decks of cards on the tables.  They will steal your evening from you.  Also, watch out for some of the creepy old men who sit at the end of the bar.  It's a sport for them to talk to as many young ladies as possible.  But on the whole they are pretty harmless.
