Dutch Goose Sports Bar Grill

We stopped in because it was a bar open when we got into Topeka KS. I for one liked it quite a bit - it's certainly a locals bar and there were some happily intoxicated regulars when we got there but the bartender was really friendly and the prices - there seem to be a rotating set of specials and there's TV's galore.

We downed big beers (brainfreezes?) and left because we hadn't eaten anything and were starved but I'd give it an enthusiastic thumbs up. It's what you'd hope to find in a local sports bar I think.

3 stars is not indicative of the history, the patronage, and the "affordability" of this place.

It's a REAL BAR. Great bartenders, solid pricing, specials daily... Don't expect to be wowed- it's just a bar. Get over it.

A great local bar, easy going. Go to hang out and drink- not be a douche bag and be tantalized by 56 inch flat screens and 9-12 dollar long-islands.

A small shack of a place. It always reminds me of 'Grandmother's house' in  Little Red Riding Hood, small and surrounded by trees almost hidden away, a structural secret. I first came by this place in the 90's after working those 12 hr shifts at PSS.

It doesn't seem to have really changed at all perhaps a bit thread bare and haggard but still intact with the super cheap beer prices, patrons that appear to know each other and seating that could use a few dollars in electrical tape to shore them up, structurally and perhaps aesthetically.  

If you need a few beers and perhaps a place to hide out from a crazy gf or who ever this place might just do the trick. Super cheap prices too, third world cheap..
