Varsity Blues Bar & BBQ

Though pretty convenient for Washburn students, it's not the best place to spend time and catch up. Some of the clientele is pretty sketchy at times. Plus the service can be really slow. For a place that has 'BBQ' in its name it doesn't stack up very well to the rest of the competition in town.

A spot to get a drink that's only across the street from WU. The website may portray this spot as being much more annoying than it really was, perhaps its only gaulingly annoying and 'fratish' on weekends. I dunno'...

It was a decent spot to have a few beers. It also has a small outside seating area, really small compared to some of the other college bars i've been to, but i guess it works...
