Love this place!! The food is so good, there's nothing on the menu that I haven't loved. My favorite is the beef kebab which is filet mignon, rice, and veggies. The bread pudding is AMAZING!! Very reasonably priced and I love the decor. Can't wait to go this weekend!

So delicious! Wish prices were a little lower on vegetarian items, but I will still come in a while to enjoy them.  They are delicious, if it were cheaper, I'd be here every few days though!  It's SO good.  The eggplant dip (baba ghanoush) is awesome and tangy, fresh made hummus is so creamy w lots of flavor.  Store brought hummus is nasty in comparison.  Generous w pita bread, chicken was SO juicy!  I'm glad they're here, we used to go to the one in Pasadena, it was so crowded and busy there at night.  This one is newer here I think, not crowded yet thank god.  But I know it's only a matter of time before everyone starts coming here to eat.  Finally a good place in I.E. for late night delicious food!

I had no idea this place even existed. It's in a semi obscured location, right next to the metrolink station in upland. Anyways, this is easily the best Mediterranean food in the I.E.  I've had the beef kabob, which is the most tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned, prime filet ever. I wanted to die it was so delicious. Not one piece of fat or gristle. Glorious. I've also had the chicken kabob, the kefta, the lamb and an eggplant dip. . All were excellent. The prices are really good too. $12 for the FILET kabobs, with rice, veggies and pita bread. Now for dessert. I 10000% urge you to get the bread pudding. We originally ordered a cheesecake and a bread pudding to go for my mom. We ate said cheesecake and then decided to taste the bread pudding. Well we ended up eating the bread pudding. It's the best I've ever had. I'd prefer this over sex any day. This place rules. Full bar, hookah (if you're into that), outdoor huge patio, and open late. I really hope this place thrives. It deserves to put places like Aladdin's out of business.

Came for an event back in December. Staff was very friendly and brought everything out quickly. Because I was there in the evening the MetroLink right behind it wasn't an issue but I can't imagine this is the best place to hang out and lay low during the day when the train rolls through. But overall, food, drinks and Hookah were on point. I would go there again.

My husband and I, along with another couple had dinner here tonight.  It was wonderful.  The food, wine and service was great.  The prices were very, very reasonable.  We WILL definitely eat there again.  We want to try their breakfast and lunch.  We all highly recommend it.

Went there at about 9 on a Friday for dinner.  Didn't realize they would be setting up inside for a band while we were there and the waiter didn't say anything.  We waited forever for the food and I wasn't happy.  We ordered what I think is a typical appetizer Hummus and for a Mediterranean place it wasn't good at all.  Husband and I don't know if we are going back again.

I love this place. So classy. It's actually the only place I'm willing to go to smoke hookah if I'm not doing it at home. Such a great family atmosphere. The prices are a little high, but well worth it. The service is incredible. The staff are so nice.

My husband and I ate dinner here last night and it was delicious! We shared the meza sampler (appetizer platter) and it was so huge we not only both ate dinner from it but we had a bit left over too!

The hummos and babaganoush were both creamy and delicious. The pita bread was hot and tasted homemade. Everything was good - the labnah, feta, tabouli, fattoush, and especially the cheese fattayer - the spices went really well with the flavor of the cheese!

The service was prompt and attentive, the drinks were poured on the large side and reasonably priced ($5 domestic draft, $7 glass of Lebanese wine), and the value was great for the quality of the food ($26 for the meza platter).

The reason why I didn't give 5 stars? The decor. The lights are too bright, and the place is going for shiny 50's diner in the restaurant and trendy modern in the bar area. It just didn't work.

We will definitely be back for the food but we might just sit on the patio next time.

This place was very good. I went there for lunch with my office. The wait staff was prompt and courteous. The decor was very nice, and most importantly the food was very good. I had the 3 item entree, beef, chicken, and Kefta. All very well cooked and well seasoned.  It's a little hidden from the rest of downtown Upland, but well worth the visit. I'm looking forward to relaxing on their patio one evening with drinks. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

My husband and I happened to drive by and see the restaurant.  We like to support local businesses so we thought we would give it a try.  I looked a bit pricey but when we saw the menu we thought the prices were very reasonable.  I ordered the lamb kabob @$13 and I haven't eaten lamb that good in a long time.  I asked for medium rare and it was cooked to perfection, was very tender and seasoned well.  My husband ordered the lamb shank and thought it was wonderful.  For dessert our waiter recommended the Bread Pudding.  My first thought was that I had never tried a Bread Pudding that I didn't hate, but the entree was so good that I gave it a try.  My perception of Bread Pudding has now been completely changed.  I have to be careful or I might actually become addicted to it.  The only downsides to the restaurant are that with the high ceilings I can see the noise level becoming an issue and the wine (Pinot Noir) was decent but not great.  Even with that I will be returning to try new items on the menu and recommend it to my friends.

Great food and prices.  The service is excellent - very friendly and helpful with newcomers.  There is something on the menu for everyone.  What a nice treat to have another really good restaurant in Upland!

Thank you Eden Garden for taking a chance in Upland.  You are a solid place with very very good food at awesome prices. (That deserves 5 stars right?)

If you are looking for healthy choices there are a lot here.  I really like the chicken and steak kabobs, double veggies no rice.  The salmon platter is really really good too.

You can get an awesome Veggie Platter and add some Hummus.  Friday nights are super fun... they start out with music, then bring on the dancing girl, then on to the DJ.  My friends and I come here and have a really good time.

This is a newer place and are still finding themselves a bit.  The drink menu wasn't available and i don't know if they have one yet but the first time i got a martini they were so so.  The last time i went it was spot on.  Wine selection not so much but then it's not a wine place right.

Great Place, Solid Food, Nice People - Great Addition to the community.  Give it a try.

HIDDEN GEM! After antique shopping in the area, my wife wanted some good (healthy) food other than the yelp listings of mexican, chinese, burgers or other fast food that seemed to dominate.  So at first sight of the place, we both said "there's nothing here".  But the building looked nice and clean from the outside and it was next door to the Metrolink train station. Well let me tell you, it was delicious!. We ordered the chicken kabob plate and the caramelized roasted salmon, and both did not disappoint in terms of presentation, portion and most of all - taste! The spicy hummus was a little spiceless, but tasted fresh.  Ended with a dessert we never tried before called Kafne, which can only be described as baked cheese with lightly sweetened bread crumbs. They give you a spoon but use a knife to cut the somewhat chewy but not so sweet dessert.  The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Couldn't believe the place is open for breakfast and as late as 2:00 a.m. on the weekends.  Very clean with outdoor covered patio, although inside is nicer. The trains going by felt like you were in a travel destination somewhere in the world. We were there on a Sunday about 4:00 p.m. so we owned the place and had to ask if it was open. The prices were very fair and they told us about the Sunday brunch from 10 - 2 for about $14 and served with mimosas.  Also mentioned happy hour M-F 3 - 7.  Very good for a just opened restaurant. Will definitely be back whenever we're in the area (antique shopping) since we live a little far.  Keep up the good work and food guys!
    Thanks,
    Happy first timer.

Incredibly delicious food and a nice change of pace from the usual eateries in downtown Upland!  The inside decor is very clean and elegant.  Flat screens at the bar so one can catch an evening game while partaking in libations or a tasty appetizer.  Yes, that is an old storage safe at the back of the room, and they now use it to store dry goods!  The history of the location and building is very cool!  Also, the outdoor patio out back is set up to accomodate larger groups and very ideal for private gatherings.  Talk to the owner, he's a very personable and helpful guy!

I was very impressed with the large selection they have to offer..the Turkey Club and Fries...were great!! Honestly it's nice to have little places like this to go to, and skip all the large franchises. On top of that they saved a historical site "Lemon Growers Exchange Building"...thanx

We went on a saturday at about 4pm  and the place was quiet, i guess because it was so early. i have heard a lot about it and felt like trying it out.  Location is a little hidden, but they have a lot of parking contrary to what i thought being in the downtown area. Upon entering, our server sat us at a booth, very comfortable. The decor is not at all like a diner like previous reviews stated. The tables looked pretty comfortable, everything very clean.  The bar was really nice, better than most i've seen in the area. The patio is large and I think would be perfect to smoke hookah on a slightly colder day. Our server, I believe her name was lily, was very nice and started us out on appetizers. I had the shankleesh, which was delicious ( a type of feta cheese with olive oil) and pita bread. My friend had buffalo wings. For our entrees we both had chicken dishes. The hummus was great, i don't like store bought, but i liked theirs. I also had a garlic-y spread with my chicken which i loved, not too overpowering. The portions were huge, i had enough fo take home for a whole other meal later. Our server was very attentive, made sure we always had our drinks filled and plenty of pita bread. For dessert, after taking awhile to decide, the server recommended the creme brulee, it was amazing! The prices are really good, all that food and our bill was about 40$. We definitely left full and satisfied, with leftovers.
I think this is a great mix of mediterranean and american style restaurant. Even though I wasnt familiar with all the dishes, there was enough description to make choosing less intimidating. They were playing a country music station which I loved, and football on the tv. Upon leaving, I left my keys on the seat and our server rushed out and called my name before we left (she remembered it from my credit card) which i thought was nice.

Overall, great experience, would definitely recommend anyone to try it. This is the first place that has amazed me enough to write a review on it, so that must say something. I am looking forward to going back, maybe later in the night and see how the bar and the hookah are!

The inside did resemble a 50's diner, but it looked good, and that is SOOOO not the problem. It was my birthday.  We wanted a nice night out.   As soon as we entered the restaurant , we were blasted with noise from the music.  Honestly, music that loud is just cacophony even if its a grammy winner.  It hurt our ears.  It's impossible to have a pleasant evening when you have to scream at your friends while you're trying to eat and enjoy each other's company.  I don't know what these people are thinking of.  We weren't going to a rock concert.!!!  All you can do is sit there, chew your food and stare at each other when the music is that loud.  Maybe it works to get people to eat their food and get em out ASAP, like cattle.  So, we thought we'd try going outside, which we don't usually do in hookah places because of the smoke, but it wasn't any better.  I've NEVER in my life had to leave a restaurant because the noise was deafening.  Maybe the food's good , who kows, who cares, there are other restaurants.  No one's food is worth damaged ear drums.  We told the hostess we were leaving because the noise was so horrible.  She didn't even care.  She just said, "It's like that on the weekends".  So what is so special about the weekends, that they think people want their evening ruined with this noise?  I don't think people are saying, "Hey, I know what we can do!! Let's go to that new fusion place and get our ear drums blown out!!  It'll be great!! That way we won't have to talk to each other!!"  They'll think about it when enough people walk out, but we won't be going back to see if it improves.

You must try the spring rolls and the basalmic glazed salmon. The wife and I had a great time and had fun chatting with and getting to know the owner and our waiter. My wife was very appreciative of the hookah lounge setup out on the patio. We loved the food and are very glad to see a gem show up in Downtown Upland. Definitely will be going back!

I just went there today for lunch with my daughter.  The food was amazing.  Fresh, tasty, arranged nicely on the plate with lots of color and tasted just great.  They have a full bar and outdoor seating too.  They are open all the time and are open late too.  It is also beautifully decorated.  Not cheesy stuff purchased from some market knockoff place.  I highly recommend this restaurant.  You've got to try it.

Had a great time here last Thursday. It's one of the nicer places in Upland. A place where girls can get kinda dress up and not feel overdone. However, I would recommend only the patio seating. They have a nice fountain which sets the ambiance. The inside does look kinda like a diner like another yelper mentioned.
Lastly, try the hooka, it adds to the experience and makes dining here more unique.

I just had lunch today at this new cafe near the train station in downtown Upland and was pleased with the service and the food.  The decor is definitely not 50's diner.  Yes it is red and black, but in a very classy way, and if you pay attention to the details, you'll notice the classic black valances over the windows and the beautifully detailed medallions on the ceiling that frame the light fixtures.  It's in the style of the cafe's you see in Europe.  The service was prompt and  the food was good.  My friend and I ordered the mezza platter for two, which was more than enough for the two of us.  I'd like to see a tent over the seating area outside, as it was a beautiful day to sit outside except for the heat and the direct sun.  This cafe is a gem in the heart of Upland.

First of all, there is NO 50's vibe here, red booths and a black hardwood floor with white tile highlights doesn't make a diner.  That being said, the Middle Eastern food here is very good.  The Hummus doesn't have a lot of tahinni in it, so it has a sweeter flavor than I am used to.  The only blemish on our meal was the lunchmeat turkey on my cobb salad.  My suggestion is to take the turkey out and substitute their Shwarma Chicken.

I had the best time. Food is great, prices are excellent, food portions are over average, very generous. I am realy not sure why some idiots that barely go out to dine and drink would complain about this  place. Maybe they are used to fast food junk and trying to compare or maybe that is all what they can afford, 10 dollars a meal per person. I made sure to check out the blody  mary and the size of the drink is huge, and not your ordinary glass size!!!!!!!!
This place has nothing to do with the 50s. please visit the place and find out for yourself. How stupid is it for someone to think it is a 50s theme. But fairly said, that proves that who ever posted a comment about the 50s does not even know left from right. Enough said i do recommend to visit this place and find out for yourself.
And for that person who posted that stupid comment, please do yourself a favor and invite your date to Mc Donalds that would keep you in your budget

I really didn't want to sit outside because they have Hooka pipes and allow smoking, but the interior of the restaurant is, as the previous reviewer said, 50's dinerish with a full bar, so after sitting at a booth inside for a minute or two, we opted to go outside. The ambiance out there was much better, and the smoke was not offensive. As hubby said, it was very nice to sit under the stars and enjoy the evening... even with the occasional train roaring by.

Unlike the previous reviewer I didn't think that the prices were out of line at all. We got a bottle of ok red wine for $22 which would have been more elsewhere.

Ok... started off with the appetizer (Kibbeh Makilya (4 pcs.) fresh blend of ground beef, crushed wheat stuffed with onions, pine nuts and spices) which was ... somewhat bland. Hubby and I both thought it could use a sauce of some sort, even Dijon mustard.

Hubby ordered lamb kebabs (actually excited about the prospect) and was told a while later they were sold out. Our extremely wonderful server, Kathleen, was very apologetic and got us our appetizer for nada! So, he ended up with the  Beef Kefta Kebob which was tasty and the cost very appropriate for the amount of food ($12).
I ordered the Balsamic Roasted Salmon with Caramelized Shallots Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Vegetables - a very large piece of salmon good tasting for only $13... amazing price!

Over all, we really think this place has potential... the inside needs some work to make it inviting. There are things that all new restaurants go through... needing coasters, maybe place mats (the brushed stainless steal tables were LOUD if an eating implement dropped on it) and they need to make sure they have sufficient quantities of popular dishes.

Wow... I feel like I just got robbed.  The service was fine, and the food was decent, but the prices!!! EEK!!!   $10 for a blah Bloody Mary with well vodka?!  Seriously... tomato juice, bad vodka, and Tabasco do not cost that much!  They have deceiving beer glasses.  They hold about 20 oz and cost 8 bucks for sub-par taps.  And FUSION???  Having half a page of pasta dishes does not count for "fusion."  Plus... Italy is in the Mediterranean, so really it isn't even bringing in anything that isn't from the same sea region at all...   All in all, not happy.  In fact, when my husband and I left, we were livid!  We got our bill and almost had a heart attack!  The ambiance is awful.  They almost try to have a 50's diner look, but can't pull it off, plus... who wants to eat "Mediterranean 'fusion'" in a 50's diner?

If you are looking for good food in Upland, go to Aria for decent priced Italian, and AMAZING food and wine selections, go to JD Allison's for lunch, decent priced (and better) beer AND a bloody mary bar on the weekends, go to Las Palmas for Taco Tuesday and $10 pitchers all day every day on "premium" beer, and if you want Mediterranean, you are better off with take out at the Lebanese place up the street...
