Always make a point to visit the Eden Lounge at Harrahs as the night progresses. We're not really "pool people" as the entertainment and crowd are not our cup of tea, to put it nicely. The live music and people dancing are fun to hear/watch. When it's slower during the day it's nice to visit as well.
Review Source:Located inside the Harrah's resort. It's a small lil bar lounge situated by the slot machines and next to bill's bar and burger. Nice lil atmosphere lounge with plenty of tables seats and bar space stools.
Happy hour prices are the time to come down to the lounge for drinks rather than the pricey casino full price drinks during other times.
Usual variety of bar finger foods as well during happy hour. Usual selection of chicken fingers, fruit and cheese plate, and coconut shrimp. Not a destination bar to head to. Probably a one time thing or a place to chill out if ya tired from all the fun in AC.
Eden Lounge is a strange place. Â I have encountered some odd people at Eden Lounge. Â Often I keep walking. Â I recently stopped in for the Yelp Winter Break happy hour and had a drink and had some pretty decent coconut chicken tenders and some amazing coconut shrimp. Â The coconut shrimp completely changed my opinion of Eden Lounge. Â Now I may decide to stop instead of robotic-ally walking by and heading straight to Bills next door.
Tip: Sometimes there is live music at Eden Lounge. Â The people aren't the lounge's fault, they are just the random people you might find in AC.
It was fine, I checked in here for the Yelp Event. There was a decent amount of space and seats. The waitresses were attentive, but we didn't end up ordering anything or trying the specials because we were starving and needed to get some food. I saw that someone else posted that they had food, but we didn't get a chance to sample anything.
Review Source:The Happy Hour for Yelp's Winter Break was held here Friday Jan 25 '13. They had plenty of snacks. PLENTY. In DC, these snack trays would have been vaporized in less than sixty-seconds by hungry throngs. But here, they kept refreshing the coconut chicken tenders, coconut shrimp, egg rolls, cheese trays, fruit trays, etc. It was nice to go back for more food for a change.
At the bar, the special was $5 Absolut drinks. Yay. So that left me to decide the mixer. Yesssss! I was standing at the bar with a twenty in my hand when a cocktail waitress came up to me and asked me if I'd like something. I put in my drink order and she quickly brought it back at which time I gave her the sawbuck. Well....tick....tock... time passing...and she never comes back. I am half done the drink. I go and stand at the service exit and wait and wait for her to come out. FINALLY she emerges with my change. No "sorry" or nothing. Geez. I tiny tipped her anyway but geez. That is the one "downfall" I noticed.
The Yelpers had the whole bar taken over so we could sit anywhere we wanted to but this was a bit awkward because the band (for later) came in to set up at the end of our time there. Whatever.
I mean seriously, to me, this Eden Lounge is not a big whoop. Maybe I should have seen it when it was in full "lounge" mode because it is simply A-Ok with me.
For a casino bar, it barely makes the cut. But there are decent beers on draft. And there's plenty of video poker so you can get those beers comped. And it's open to the casino floor, so you can see all the action and people-watch. And there's also plenty of small tables and chairs, so you don't have to sit at the bar. Bartenders are friendly. Can be difficult to get their attention when it's crowded. Smoking is allowed at the bar, not at the tables. The decor is bleh. All in all, not too shabby, but not great either.
Review Source:Oh, Eden Lounge. Ample amount of seating, alcohol, kooky people, and music = the greatest place to people watch.
The first time my friends and I went here, we just wanted to check out the live band that was playing. It was a Wednesday night so unbeknownst to us, it was Rock 'n' Roll Karaoke Night - the live band was actually backing for anyone that wanted to sing karaoke. We wandered in as someone was belting out what was probably a Bon Jovi song and the band motioned us over to pick out some songs to sing. Before I knew it, my friends were making asses out of themselves to Maroon 5's "Sunday Morning" and a few songs later, I was up on stage with a drink in hand and one of my friends standing by as back up for King of Leon's "Sex On Fire." Neither of us could sing if our lives depended on it but the crowd was generous with their applause and the band was incredibly nice throughout the time we were there. We stuck around for another hour or two to drink and dance as our fellow karaokers sang and continued our night elsewhere. Rock 'n' Roll Karaoke was one of the highlights of our night. I'm not sure if they still do karaoke though.
The second time was because it was a Saturday night, The Pool had a ridiculous cover (because of resident DJ Pauly D) and was overflowing with people, and -ding ding ding- there was a live band! By the time my friend and I got there, we were drunk and thanks to the bartenders' heavy hands, we became even more so. There was a woman balancing an umbrella on her head, some dude getting handsy with every lady he came across (I grabbed onto my guy friend's arm to ward him off), and a generally odd, mixed crowd. Some other friends met us there and we really enjoyed watching and listening to the band, who did a great job of covering a lot of top 40 and R&B songs. The last thing I remember was doing a Jagerbomb and line dancing with a group of women to "The Wobble." I'm assuming the rest of my night was great because I woke up in our room with the worst hangover I have ever experienced.
Both times we've been there, we were the youngest of the crowd, which has been mainly late 20-somethings to 50/60-somethings. There are seats all around the bar as well as tables and chairs throughout the space. Across from the bar is a stage and a small dance floor that everyone ignores because it's so tiny. I guess it depends on the company you keep, but for me this place is a blast.
Yes, I drank myself silly at Eden Lounge. Due to a check-in wait (it was 6:00 PM on Friday night so that was to be expected) my BF and I missed happy hour. The bar was packed at about 7:30 PM and we nudged our way in to get some drinks. Â A nice lady next to us slapped me on the arm and said, "Honey we're getting up, take our seats". She clearly did NOT miss happy hour and we were thankful for her kindness. He and I wanted to get our drink on and it's far more comfortable to sit than stand.
Heineken light and Grey Goose and club - $18
Two shots of Patron - $24
Two more shots of Patron - $24
Two more shots of Patron - $24
Two more...oh, nevermind
Needless to say, we were feeling pretty, pretty good. Long check-in at the hotel? Â When was that? Was that tonight?
I should add that the shot glasses are quite large at Eden Lounge. Easily two shots in one, therefore, we didn't mind spending what we did on them. Â And my Grey Goose and club was STRONG as HELL (also presented in a large glass). Â
Strong drinks = happiness.
My girl Charlee D. is right about the people-watching here. Imbibers of all ages were tripping the lights fantastic in front of a pretty good cover band. Â Lots of Michael Jackson, Brothers Johnson, and other R&B favorites. Â Everyone was having a great time, including my fellow drunkard and myself.
Great place to get the night going.
Eden cracks me up. This is seriously one of the best spots for people watching in AC.
Funny story about Eden...I was here one night about 2 months ago, and boyfriend and I are standing by the bar. This woman walks by with 2 of her friends holding onto her, steadying her, and all of a sudden I smell this god-awful smell. Probably the worst thing I've ever smelled in my life. I look at boyfriend and I'm like "Do you smell that? What IS that?!" He leans in closer and responds, "That woman just shat herself." I KID YOU NOT. This middle-aged woman had literally defecated all over herself, right in the middle of the bar. The worst part was she was so drunk she kept falling down and landing on her butt (squish, squish.) Exactly how drunk do you have to be to do that?! We laugh about it now, but dear lord that was rank.
That being said, Eden is a decent place to grab a drink and maybe get your shake on. It is Cougar City up until about the 11 o'clock hour. There's an older man who's a regular at every lounge/bar in the casinos who dances up on any and every woman. He bit me once, no lie. The bartenders are friendly and they pour a mean drink. I don't care what you order here, if it's a mixed drink, expect it to be strong. Prices are average for AC drinks--in the $10 area. The bar area is nice: plenty of seating and video gambling if you are so inclined. There's also seating in the back; it's a little more dimly lit and there are several chairs and couches as well as a whole bunch of tables at the sides and front of the bar.
They typically have pretty decent live music and the DJ in between sets isn't bad either, but the dance floor is waaaaaayy too small.
But if you're not in the mood to pay money to get into a "cool kids club," and don't want to risk a grand mal seizure due to excessive strobe lighting, Eden is a fine choice.
Kind of an odd bar. Always has a strange mix of patrons here. Has a nice stage setup for many local cover bands to perform on. Many which are very good and some that are cheese city. The crowd usually ranges from guests of Harrah's casino, to locals partying on the weekend, to senior citizens listening to bands rocking out.
There is a lot of seating, and a nice bar with video poker all around. Kind of a mix of lounge, rock bar, and dance club in one. Can be loud and there is always a group of people dancing. Sometimes embarassingly, but everyone always seems to be having fun. Seems like a good escape from the casino floor and offers something else to do while here.
At times it looks like a cougar convention, and at others it reminds me of being at a wedding reception with all your aunts and uncles dancing on the floor inappropriately. Kind of creepy.
This place is an entertaining good time. Â The few times I have been here there has always been some band performing on the stage, usually playing covers of old classics, and the crowd is rowdy and dancing around. Â They let people get up on the stage and dance around and it is pretty interactive.
The inner part is nice, with some lounge couches and a large bar. Â The bar itself is circular like at Xhibition, but for some reason I have had trouble getting the bartenders attention here. Â Maybe they are understaffed and the place just gets more crowded than expected, but it can get frustrating. Â It is also LOUD, as you might expect. Â I wouldn't come here to sit down and enjoy a conversation.
This is a perfect place to sing-along and dance around to some fun music. Â Nice break from the casino floor.
