  Went here on a Thursday Night to see what was going on. I consider myself a hookah aficionado, and the fact this place had both hookah and alcohol, I decided to check it out.
  
  I ordered a hookah and it's the cheapest in all of the Richmond area. No complaints about that. The problem is that the people who prepare the hookahs aren't very familiar with hookahs at all. I had a tough time actually smoking it, plus I noticed that they keep them outside in the daytime, so that by the time you actually smoke, it's hot because the water's been sitting in the sun all day.
  
  Eko Lounge makes it so that the weekend actually "starts" on Thursday too. What that means is that they have a Live DJ starting Thursday, which for a building it's size isn't too bad. The biggest letdown was the DJ himself. It was absolutely unbearable to listen to the guy. You ever see a person try to fit in to a foreign culture that he or she is clearly not a part of? It would be this guy.
  
  It's embarrassing listening to a 40-something year old DJ who clearly never listens to hip hop try and repeat lyrics over a loud mic to "Turn My Swag On" and many others. No wonder there was only about 12 people inside the place around midnight.

  THIRD AND HOPEFULLY FINALLL REVIEW:
  
  After expressing, my concern the owner immediately reached out and addressed the situation in a professional manner.  I am very thankful for this because some places could care less.  I will be visiting EkoLounge again this week.  After speaking with the owner, I have no doubt that it will be as great as my first experience.  All in all.  I plan to frequent this establishment.  Its a hookah bar in the West End.  How couldn't I :) !!
  
  SECOND REVIEW:
  I originally had this establishment rated as 4stars.  However, after purchasing the $50 certificate for $30, my opinion changed greatly.  Our bill came out to $64 and some change (had a lot of drinks).  Went to pay the pill showed my certificate.  I was informed that it could not be applied to the hookah (its a hookah bar), OR the alcohol (IT IS A hookah BAR, full bar at that), and could only be applied to the food.  The food is good in my opinion but there are only about 10 items on the menu.  Not a full menu by any means.  Mind you, the certificate does not state ANY RESTRICTIONS.  With that being said, my rating has changed from 4stars(almost 5) to 2.  Get it together please.
  
  ORIGINAL REVIEW:
  Nice place.. Once it gets a little warmer, I will definitely be a regular. The owner is nice and very helpful.  We had the Sex on the Beach hookah, nice flavor.  We only ordered one thing but it left a great impression (Gyro Platter).. The prices are very reasonable all hookahs are under $11 and they have drink and a few food specials during happy hour... For just opening a week ago, it's a nice little place to lay back and chill. OH and the couches are really comfy:)
