El Ranchero

Love this place.  The food is absolutely authentic Mexican.  They catered my wedding when they first opened.  They have the best carne en su jugo (beef, bacon and bean soup).   I recommend it to anyone visiting East Chicago.

If you are familiar with the area and you go to the Harbor with no problem, then this place is definately a place to try.  This is one of favorite Mexican Restaurants. I love Chile Rellenos, and theirs' is really tasty. They also have great Horchata, one of my favorite drinks. The waitresses are always friendly. The inside might not look like El Taco Real, but the food is just as good, some things there are even better.
