Stopped in here for breakfast this morning and left non plussed. I read all the great reviews and heard good things from friends but still walked out unimpressed.

I walked in with my daughter and we were promptly greeted and shown to a table. Our server came right over for our drink order and returned promptly with our drinks and took our food order. About ten minutes later the first of my food was delivered. About two minutes later, the balance of our order arrived. Folks, I'm dining with a five year old, why would you bring my food and not hers. This was a good way to rev her up and spoil our breakfast out.

About the food, I had Jim's Big Deal, two pancakes, eggs, home fries, toast and a double order of bacon. The pancakes were a bit on the dry side, though my daughter ended up devouring them since they came to the table before any of the other food. The eggs were perfect, the bacon well done without being burned to a crisp. I chose to have my home fries grilled instead of fried and this was a mistake. They tasted boiled and like they had hardly touched the grill.

We were never checked on again until we had finished our meal, which is even more disappointing since I observed her checking on her other tables.

Needless to say, I'm not in a rush to try lunch or dinner here.

Just discovered Eller's Restaurant the other day. My wife and I were Christmas shopping and very hungry. Located a few blocks west of Giguere's Gym, just over the Worcester border on the westbound side of Route 9  in Leicester's Cherry Valley area, Eller's has plenty of parking and is a casual family-style place that also had a pretty active bar area. We arrived about 6:30 p.m. and a crew was just bringing in equipment in preparation for a karaoke session that was to begin at 8 p.m. We didn't have time to stay and watch, but that sounded like fun. We were seated immediately in a booth and our waitress was very attentive throughout our meal. The waitress brought our drinks (a Killian's and a water with a lemon slice--nice large water glasses BTW) and two warm rolls with butter. There was a separate specials menu; however, I ordered fried haddock and chips off the regular menu ($10.99) with a cup of soup ($3.50) that was a special that night, a creamy tomato and basil that was delicious. My wife ordered a Greek wrap ($6.99) that came with fries, and ordered a cup of chili ($3.50) as well. I tried to eat my soup, but once my wife tasted it she had to have it so I relinquished it in exchange for her chili, and I was glad I did. The chili was delicious as well, full of roasted beef (not ground) and some red beans, but mostly meat. The chili's spice heat was medium; very good, but I could have used a touch more heat. Personal preference, of course. The cup of chili came with some cheese on top and corn chips on the plate around the cup. It made an excellent appetizer. A bowl of this chili plus a salad could easily be a meal. My wife also ordered a side of the butternut squash. Wow, this was the best butternut squash ($1.99) we had ever had and a generous portion at that. We shared the squash. It was sweet, almost dessert-like. I believe this was a special that night, but you should ask if they have it. My haddock was a large portion and perfectly breaded and fried--moist, flaky and hot. Came with the usual tartar sauce and side of coleslaw. My wife's Greek wrap was tasty as well. We were too full for dessert, and finished with coffee, which was just OK. Our bill was $37 and change. A great value. The owner, who visited us during our meal, seems to take genuine pride in the quality of his food and the service they provide. We'll definitely be going back!

Eller's is hands down our favorite place for breakfast. My boyfriend and I go there almost every weekend. They have great homemade corned beef hash, I always get the eggs Benedict bc they cook it perfect, the egg whites are never runny but the yolks always are. The servers are all great, friendly & knowledgable. Linda is our favorite. The owner seems like a real nice guy and he chats up customers all the time. Mudslides and bloody marys are great. It has a very inviting home like decor and I love their music.

Soon after moving to Cherry Valley, Eller's opened right across the street from my apartment. After giving them a couple of tries, both for dinner and breakfast, and moved on to other places.

To be clear, the food isn't bad at all, and the service is mostly okay, although sometimes the waitstaff can seem a little disinterested. One of my tries for breakfast I ordered blueberry oatmeal pancakes....when we got our food, I received a plate of pancakes...with a bowl of blueberry oatmeal. I explained to the waitress that I meant that I wanted pancakes with blueberries and oatmeal, I got a TON of attitude and a little bit of argument before getting it taken off the total...I did not want to make my partner wait, so I just stuck with the pancakes I was served.

In the end, its decent, moderately priced food. There isn't a whole lot of adventure on the menu, but they do seem to do quite well. Good for older people and families.

Eller's is AWESOME. The review from Kyle S. doesn't do it justice. Beware of someone who gives a 5 star to Dippin Donuts but not to Ellers. This guy is a food Nazi apparently. Check his other reviews...Anyways, Eller's is not only a great place for food but it's like you're family. The owner comes out and engages the patrons and the food is original.

Although I have not return-visited yet, I'm increasing my review due to the owner reaching out to contact me, mentioned that he made some changes due to my feedback and kindly invited me back.   We'll stop back in soon.

Considering there are about 4 restaurants total in Leicester (that are not pizza joints), this is by far the best one.  The Castle should have pulled up the drawbridge years ago.  Barber's Crossing is just depressing.  Cheoy Lee's Bank... I mean Chinese food kind of fits under the pizza joint category since it's mainly take out (although just a tiny smidgen of effort at ambience would be nice to see in there)... Anyway, Eller's is good.  It's the down-home townie bar/pub/restaurant that you can just throw something on and head over to and know you'll leave full and satisfied.  The servers are friendly, the place is clean, the specials are proof that the chef tries to be inventive with his cooking and overall, it's just one of those easy places to go when you want something inexpensive, tasty and comforting. They also have a good breakfast.  If you're in the area and in the mood for something easy, resist the urge to go to a chain (i.e. The 99, Chili's, Applebees's, etc.) - instead give your money and patronage to a local business like this one.

I was looking for a new place for brunch and decided to go on Yelp to see what was in the area.  Despite good or bad reviews I always try a restaurant if it sounds good and there were already good reviews about Eller's so I was excited to try it!

I'm very simple when it comes to dining - don't need anything fancy, just a good meal on my plate and pleasant service, and Eller's definitely provided that and more.  The service was great, our waitress checked on us enough times and treated my family and I like we were old friends.

The brunch menu is typically what you'd find at any restaurant, but I am always a harsh critic on chocolate chip pancakes; can't be too dry, must be fluffy enough, etc.  Eller's nailed it.  My family enjoyed their meals as well, and we will definitely be back.

Thanks for a great meal and great service, see you soon, Ellers!

Another great visit to Eller's complete.  The service is very good.  They are very well staffed so the wait is not long for food, drinks, etc.  All the food with my party was just as ordered.  It isn't the 111 steakhouse but if you want a good safe meal this is the place to go.  The prices are still very reasonable even as the place grows in popularity.  The atmosphere is great too.

I had a cheeseburger on my last visit.  It was well seasoned, cooked just the way I asked, and it came with a large plate of fries.

I wish I had something bad to say about the visit to make this review a little more rounded but I don't want to make anything up.  Thanks again for a great meal Eller's (no longer on the hill)!

I enjoyed my visit to Ellers.  I got the potato pancake which was mashed and cheesy! The pancake also had scallions and sour cream.  Very tasty and filling.  I would go back anytime.

My wife and I were going to a show at the Hanover Theater in Worcester and we were looking for a place to eat first.    I went on line and read some reviews about Eller's  and figured we would give it a try.  What a pleasant surprise, the food was terrific, the atmosphere friendly, and the service was sensational.  Our server Miranda, informed us right off that anything on the menu could be altered and if it didn't appear on the menu "they could make it."  A great dining experience, great food, wonderful service, and a very welcoming atmosphere.  And did I mention the prices are very reasonable.  I highly recommend this restaurant.

    A HAPPY DINER neil

I have heard of this restaurant over the last few years from my friend Joy.  She's wanted me to come here for quite some time. Well, I finally got the opportunity to visit in not for breakfast but for lunch.

I walked in with my g/f Denise (she also goes quite often)  and they recognized her and was very warm and friendly from not just the hostess but also the waitress.  Loved that.  It's a homey looking type of family style restaurant.  The menu was vast from all breakfast combos to lunch items.  Good prices I noticed too.

We shared a buffalo chicken wrap and thank God I got only half! Half was HUGE!! It was very good, lots of chicken and just the right amount of buffalo.

I would love to come in for breakfast because I'm such a breakfast person.  I'll update at that point.  A definite MUST!

I can only review for breakfast as I have only been there for breakfast!!  It's an easy commute to Eller's as it's right on Route 9 and great parking. I've been a number of times for breakfast and always want to return.  The waitstaff is very warm and friendly every time I've been there so it's not a chance time that they were good.  I always get spinach tomato and feta cheese omelet because I LOVE it!!! It's absolutely perfect every time I get it.  Light, fluffy full of good stuff!  Really great prices for the amount you get.  HOMEFRIES OMG!!!!  To die for!!!  Just go so you can enjoy like I do!

Their new location is great!! (Rte 9 in Leicester)  I prefer to sit on the bar side - attentive wait staff, great food and a fun atmosphere.  The owner can be found floating around most nights.  A great place - highly recommend it!

A fantastic family run place.  Jeff and Azi do an amazing job for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  And the service and prices cannot be beat.  They used to be in a smaller place in Cherry Valley and recently moved to a great spot on Rt. 9 in Leicester.  Go for a quality, affordable meal!!!

This place is a hidden gem!  The food is great and prepared by the restaurant's owners, Jeff and Azi.  The service is also wonderful, the staff is always in good spirits and attentive.  The prices are also very reasonable.  We usually go for brunch on the weekends, and they serve dinner on Thurs and Fri nights.  They have Thurs dinner club, where you get a free dinner for every six dinners you have there.  Eller's is really awesome!
