I had high hopes for this place. It replaced one of our favorite restaurants here in town after it shut down and sat empty for months. A wings place replacing my favorite breakfast place? And it serves ice cream? Awesome! I hope it's good, I'll go there all the time. Instead, I was sorely disappointed. What I ended up with was overly expensive, mediocre food. A very small sandwich with no sides for $8. It was on the menu as a chicken sandwich with your choice of wing sauce. I chose garlic parm, and was presented with what looked like a heated up, breaded chicken cutlet that had been pulled from the freezer. And there was no sauce. Instead it had weird chunks of garlicy parmesan. No condiments, very dry, and hey, they charge extra if you want things like onion and tomato on it. I got hot dogs for my girls, and was charged $5 for an average, not very remarkable hot dog. Topped it off with ice cream, which was eh, whatever, it's an ice cream cone. Not much to mess up there. So I figured no to ever eating there again for lunch, it'll just be an occasional treat for ice cream. Except we revisited for spur of the moment sundaes a few days ago. We were charged $5 each for a piddly amount of ice cream, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, and way haphazard whipped cream sprayed on messily with a cherry tossed in for good measure. Whatever. Except my husband's ice cream had huge crystallized chunks in it. Like maybe it had melted and been refrozen. The owner was also grouchy, unfriendly, and not very nice to his staff. The girls were nice enough, but slow. Hey, at least the little white shorts they wore were nice to look at. Â Don't think this place will last long, and they certainly won't be seeing me back there ever.
Review Source:I went to this new restaurant with my mother on July 3rd because we figured we would try something new. We ordered take out because we had somewhere to be. We ordered two chesseburgers which come with fries. When we got to where we were going we realized that the burgers were raw inside. I then called the owner who was the one who cooked the burgers and told him about this issue. He then proceeded to basically call me a liar, claiming that he cooked both burgers for 8 minutes. We stood there and watched him cook the burgers and it was only MAYBE 3 minutes until he took them off the grill and served them to us.
I love supporting new and smaller businesses, but this is something I wouldn't recommend to anyone. We both ended up getting sick from eating only a tiny bit of that meat. I called him back and let him know about this, and his reply was still to basically call me a liar. He said that he wants to make the customers happy. When what would have made me happy would have been saying "Come in and let me make you a better burger and change your mind." Instead his solution was "Next time you come in you can order something else or tell me how you want it cooked." Basically asking for more money after my horrible experience.
Furthermore, his counter help has no idea what they are doing. They run around like a couple of chickens with their heads cut off. And his "cook" in the back must have checked the slip at least ten times for one order. On top of this, not even the fries were salvageable. They were garlic fries, which I wasn't even informed of, they are just listed as "french fries". And they were extremely soggy.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Absolutely disrespectful owner, and horrible food are a bad combination. I would recommend you stay far away from this place before you end up with a trip to the emergency room.
