The beer selection is CRAZY good! Really, really impressed.
Nice little establishment tucked into a little strip mall. The menu looked good (a little pricey but not horrendous). I got one of the pizzas and it was DIVINE. Tried a few of their sauces (the wine one, the classic and the pesto) and they were all delicious.
My boyfriend got a sandwhich and I think he liked it but would have liked a pizza better.
Also, live music here. Wow!
I can't wait to return... Great bar, good looking happy hour and maybe splitting a pizza. :)
Food is good, unfortunately not good enough to deal with the poor customer service. The stoners that work there sent out my pick up order for delivery to some poor person who will also be disappointed when they get their over priced order. The only reason I know this is because I heard the conversation in the kitchen, I was left in the dining area for half an hour with no explanation as to why it was taking so long. When I arrived I was told it was just out of the oven and after 20 min of waiting I walked to the counter to be told it was almost out of the oven. Then after some more time I finally received my order. Spaghetti and fettucini. That's all. And it was a damn mess. I've had good experiences there in the past but I have left here with a sour taste in my mouth, big hole in my wallet and zero patience left in my tank.
Review Source:Yum! Â For pizza and beer, this is the place to go in the Mill Creek area. Â
The beer selection is outstanding, though on the smaller side. Â They get some unique and rare beers on tap, and also fill growlers - the bartender told us the owner has a lot of connections from his time in the restaurant/food business. Â One cool thing is they serve several of the beer offerings in the traditional beer glass for that style or brand.
The pizza is also great. Â We had the Elliott Bay special with the rosemary pizza sauce. Â The rosemary made the sauce very unique, and was the touch that made the pizza great. Â The crust is on the thinner side, and has almost a sourdough quality to it. Â As a bonus, the Parmesan wasn't the powdered kind from the grocery store!
Poor customer service. Three wait staff and one was decent. The other two ladies acted they were bored and didn't care.
We sat by the kitchen and they were back there talking and laughing while we were waiting for our bread sticks and pizza. The pizza and bread sticks were good but the dough so chewy we all to chew and chew to finally swallow it., Maybe if the kitchen staff paid more attention to what they are doing they would have gotten it right.
Will not eat here again.
We were really disappointed with Elliott Bay Pizza, especially after reading many four star reviews here.
We ordered two pizzas for delivery. The timing and delivery was fine, but the pizzas were not good - both soft, sloppy, and wet. They were a little better the next night when we re-heated the leftovers in the over and were able to dry them out a bit and crisp them up.
All this for the low, low price of $48! (if it wasn't so expensive I wouldn't have eaten the leftovers, but I already felt like I'd been 'had', I didn't want to make it worse)
Good pizza. Â A bit of a wait for delivery but worth it. Â Warning - if you can't stand the idea of maybe eating some of your pizza with a fork you are going to have to wait for it to cool down or all the gooey goodness will not stay in your hand.
Some day maybe I'll visit the place and see what the place looks like.
This was my first visit and I really wasn't that impressed. There couldn't have been more than 6 people here at lunchtime and we weren't greeted or acknowledged. We had to go to a separate order station instead of having a server come by and take our order. The beer list was impressive and as soon as I saw they had Languanitas IPA I ordered a pint only to be told that out of the 15 or so they had on their list, they didn't have 6 and that was one of them. Bummer. The pizza was pretty greasy as a whole and I've had better at the Rock which I passed up on the way here. I asked my work colleague if it warranted a return trip and he said he'd rather find somewhere else. At least Tuesday trivia night sounds fun as long as they have the beer I want on tap...
Review Source:If there is one thing I've learned about the Bothell/Mill Creek area since moving here 3 1/2 years ago, it's that good pizza places are seriously lacking. Â While I've only had Elliott Bay for delivery, they are the best I've found. Â They have a very nice crust, quality ingredients, and the delivery times they've quoted me have always been accurate. Â It's just not quite what I'd consider 5 star. Â I'm looking for thin crust, New York style, simple is more, quality cheese with homemade tomato sauce, served so hot that if you don't eat it fast enough, the cheese will ooze off. Â I've yet to find that anywhere in the Seattle Metro area, let alone up here in the North End. Â
Regardless, for what it is, Elliott Bay is tasty pizza, and the best you'll find in this neck of the woods. Â Minus one star for not having a Margherita option on the menu and for serving very boring salads.
Only been here a few times myself but my husband has become a bit of a regular due to their rotating beer selection. Being a non-beer drinker myself their small wine "selection" (and no liquor) left something to be admired. I've only attempted to even order wine once as the waitress said they have "a few whites and a few reds" and couldn't give me any more detail than that. I finally just told her to surprise me and wasn't thrilled with the glass I did drink. I get that it's a beer place though so if beer is your thing they're great. The food's really good  though the service tends to be on the slower side so I wouldn't go if  I was in any rush. Sometimes waiters come to your table to take your order and sometimes you have to go up to the counter yourself; it seems to be a sit down and see if anyone notices you kind of deal.
Review Source:Wow, wished I would have found this place sooner! Â Had been getting pizza from Papa John's, but no longer want to support that company. Â Ordered delivery from Elliott Bay Pizza, got a pizza and garlic cheese bread and WOW, it is really good! Â Lots of toppings, they don't skimp, high quality cheese, delicious marinara sauce, I can't say enough. Â I know they have a lot of beer on tap so I will definitely have to visit there.
Review Source:Found this place on Yelp and figured I'd give it a try. Â I went on a Tuesday night, which turns out to be Trivia Night with Geeks who Drink. Â Everyone in the bar was getting into the game, which was kind of cool.
They have a great selection of local and other craft beers and the bartender knows the beers really well. Â I had a Greek Calzone, which was pretty tasty. Â The subs, salads and pizzas looked good too. Â I'll definitely be back.
by far the best pizza in this area!! fresh ingredients, quality cheeses. very accommodating staff - any request is taken care of with a smile. cool staff. even on busy weekend nights delivery is always earlier than expected, still warm & yummy. great atmosphere to hang and eat there too. growlers are a bonus!
worth a trip if you've never been!!!
I absolutely love this place. If you like great service, great food, and fantastic beer selection (18 rotating taps) of kick a** beers, this is the place to go. I have never had anything that I didn't like here, and the service is always top notch! If you haven't been you are seriously missing out!
Review Source:Went here with a bunch of friends. My sub was delicious and the atmosphere was nice.
I didn't give it 5 stars because I thought the service was lacking quite a bit. I guess "normally" you walk up and order, but our friends arrived early and had all sat down and seemed to have a server coming by to take orders, as they had already placed their orders.
We placed our orders when she came by and it was probably at least 30 minutes for my 6" sandwich to show up, on a not very busy night. i even started to think maybe she forgot to put my order in and when she came by again I asked and she said "it's coming out now." so Idk if she did forget and then I reminded her and she played it off well or if it's just ~really complicated~ to make a sandwich.
The subs are nothing "special" in terms of sandwich world. They dont have that many special subs and most of them have standard toppings on them. The only difference I could tell is that the dressing was slightly better and they used better bread than other comparable sandwich places.
I think this place would be great for a person who wants to drink a variety of beers, as they seemed to have quite the selection of beers on tap, but with regards to food service... it was lacking and hey, maybe it was just an off day.
In any case, by the time my order came it was almost happy hour every where else in town and I almost considered telling her not to put the order through because I'd just eat elsewhere if it was going to be any longer.
30 MINUTES for a Sandwich????????????
This is our go to place for pizza. It is a little more expensive than a fast food pizza, but it is dang good! You can also get a Mac & Jack's growler which makes this pretty much the most awesome place ever.
We have tried the pizzas and salads mostly, with the pepperoni and pineapple being our all time favorite. The staff is friendly and cool and we even had a pretty long convo with them about the beer selection which was fun and nice to know they actually understand what they are serving. I recommend this place for a nice pizza and a beer any day!
The only issue we had was that they didn't have the extended sports package so we took or pizza to go once when the Sounders were playing on a random channel. Not a big deal though because we had it at home...and it isn't really a sports bar so you can't be too upset!
Great Subs and Great beer selection!
Me and some friends have been coming here for some time now as it's a great place to grab a beer and grub after a hard day of work.
The subs here are some of the best I've ever had and are usually piled high with fresh ingredients and server hot on big thick oven toasted bread. My favorite is probably the Spicy Italian, which is pretty spicy with Italian sausage, green bell peppers, marinara and mozzarella but all the subs I've tried have been good!
Also, the beer selection here is huge and ever changing so you get a lot of variety and most of the beers are award winning so I like to try a new one each time I'm here.
The only reason I can't give this place 5 stars is the customer service, it can be a bit of a disappointment sometimes. There have a been a few times where it took a lot longer than it should to get our drinks and food but they do seem pretty understaffed most of the time so it's not usually the servers fault. Apparently they aren't used to a lot of business, which is hit or miss, so when it gets crowed you just have to wait it out because in the end it's worth it!
The Big boss man came to visit the office during the huge snow storm and bought us some pizzas from here for lunch. The pizzas were pretty large and thin. I guess it was like a new york style Za! It was super cheesy and and average amount of toppings for a supreme and sparse but great quality pepperoni pizza. You can tell this stuff was freshly made, it had a different taste compared to a franchise frozen dough and ingredient type. good stuff.
Review Source:Bottom line? Over three stars for pizza. Over four stars for the beer. Five stars, solid, for the service (provided you sit at the bar and focus on beer). Average, four stars.
In more detail, let's start with the fact that these guys are in Mill Creek. While not a complete wasteland, Mill Creek is not exactly overrun with an abundance of staff and customers to support a whole scene of good food and beer places. This strip around MCTC is populating with solid sushi, supermarket, indian, breakfast, and other options--among them now a good pizza place with a bangin' beer lineup.
Most of the decent-sized towns north of the county line can now boast at least one beer spot, and this is Mill Creek's. 18 taps with serious ambition pouring through every faucet. They even had a Cascade keg up from Portland tonight, full of a beer I'd never even heard of (and...let's just say I'm kinda ridiculous in my enthusiasm for Cascade's beers).
The beers come out of clean lines, poured knowledgably into proper glasses. Better still, the lineup of pizzas, salads, and subs allows you enjoy eating enough food to soak up some of that beer. The pizza is a big heavy doughy delight, much weightier than I would usually order but very good--chewy without being a soggy bagel of a pie. The toppings are flavorful and well combined, but the cheese was looking pretty plasticky and shiny. Not the most flavorful mozzarella in town. But, still, a very tasty and completely edible pie. Reasonably priced as well.
If you order food or sit at a table (let alone both), the service pretty much vanishes. But the guys are really nice and they know their tap lineup really well, and that's my main concern at a place like this. Ordering food and chasing down napkins and silverware is a roll of the dice here, but I am here for the beer. I'll live, I guess. But it would be nice to see them pick up their game on food service.
I'll definitely be hitting this place again, more than occasionally. They offer lots of flat screens for the sports lovers, they have open mike nights, and they clearly have a coterie of passionate regulars through at least a couple generations. Solid neighborhood hang on top of being a good beer joint, and those are two things you don't expect to see much of in Mill Creek.
came here with my family to enjoy some beers on tap--i opted out of the pizza (because i have very high pizza standards), but ordered the french dip. the french dip was good, and the au jus was tasty. the mozzarella toasted onto the french dip was good too--but over kill.
be aware with the subs that they are not joking about their foot-long. i got the six inch and cut it in half. my husband and father ordered the foot long, and they aren't skimpy on the filling. the big plus is that the toasted subs reheat really quite well. it is probably one of the better french dips i've had recently! though next time i'll ask them to hold the cheese.
Soooo, I still will give this place 4 stars, pure and simply due to the fact they have the BEST selection of beer on tap north of Seattle. Â The food is pretty good. Â The subs are toasty and tasty. Â The service needs improvement, but I will say that there was only one employee, who was the bartender, who was waiting on basically the whole place. Â I will also say he was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable when it came to their beer menu, albeit absentminded when it comes to bringing the beer after it is ordered, which can be quite detrimental to the overall experience when one goes there solely for the enjoyment of their amazing beer selection.
As for the beers, they have Russian River Brewery Co. beers, which are all stellar. Â I have tried the Damnation, Pliny the Elder, and Supplication all at Elliott Bay. Â They are all amazing. Â The supplication is considered a "sour" beer. Â To me, it tasted like sour cherries, really delicious sour cherries.
There are plenty of other top notch choices. Â I also have tried a Grand Cru, which no joke, tastes like a glass of champagne. Â Going to Elliott Bay is like going to an excellent wine bar , I always that any beer ordered on the menu will sure to please. Â Expect to pay $7 a beer, which is very reasonable. Â Also, they offer 1 free "sample of beer," and 4 samples for $8. Â So to wrap it up, a beer lover will LOVE this place, regardless of the service. Â The food here is just the icing on the cake.
This place is kind of hard to find since the sign in the front doesn't really 'pop'. It's on 164th in Mill Creek so I must have driven by it a million times and did not even know there were a pizza/sub place there until my husband decided he wanted to try it one evening.
We came there just for the subs and their selection was so huge. The 6 inches were $5.95/ 12 inches $8.95. If you get a 12 inch.... you'll definitely be bringing half of it home. I want to say there had to be a least 20 types of subs they offered. Here's what we got:
Spicy Italian: wow- is that spicy! super spicy sausage, green bell peppers, marinara and mozzarella.
Pizza sub: all your meaty pizza toppings rolled into a sub
Reuben: corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island, Swiss & mustard . Â (This was what I got and it was OK but would not get it again)
Maui Wowwie: tons of Canadian bacon, pineapple, mozzarella and Alfredo sauce
These subs come out pipin' hot on this huge toasted bread. The people in the place were ordering pizza and it sure also looked good. Â Give it a try!
We've ordered from here twice in the past couple of weeks. The first time we ordered calzones which were okay. My wife ordered one with Alfredo which she didn't especially like the alfredo sauce. The marinara was decent on my calzone.
The next time we ordered a pizza and it was pretty good. I like a little thinner neopolitan crust so this was a little thick for me. On our 2nd time ordering delivery they did forget to include the cheesy bread that we received for free due to an online coupon they have on their website.
One thing I can say is that both times I've called and I've given the expiration date on my credit card the person on the phone asked "April, what month is that... ummmm.... is that the 4th month?" I'm always a little wary of a place when they don't seem to know simple items like that...
Still happy with the pizza at Elliott Bay Pizza, they NEVER disappoint us that's for sure. I haven't had a Gyro yet but I intend to soon, anyone ever had one? I haven't seen any reports on them......IF they are as good as the pizza, I'm sure I'm in for a treat.
Until next time...............cheers!
Cynthia
First - the bad - Menu gets dropped off with no further instructions. We sit there for about 20 min (we brought our 2 kids so a bit distracted) until we finally ask a waitress who tells us we have to order at the counter. Four adults and two children make this a bit challenging. We were yelling our orders across the room! The overall customer experience was a bit lacking. Didn't get many smiles or personality from the waitresses on staff.
The good - we've picked up pizza before and enjoyed it. This time we all ordered subs and pasta from the menu. Subs and calzones were great - pasta...eh...won't order the pasta again. Nothing exciting there.
The best - the beer! Love the beer!
Summary - we'll get past the the bad and this is our new neighborhood pizza joint. Dining in, we'll only order pizza (it's much easier to order pizza at the counter than 4 different entrees, salads, etc.) and beer! Great for the kids and adults who enjoy beer and want to watch sports (they have 3 tvs and were very flexible about putting a specific event on).
We received a coupon for a family meal for $19.99. XL pizza, house salad and cheesy bread.
Everything was great! We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza. Pepperoni was a little spicy for the kids - but we loved it! The salad was fresh and they offered a wide variety of dressing options. Between salad and the fabulous cheesy bread I was already full. We ended up taking home 3/4 of the pizza - and it was great reheated for lunch the next day.
Really great food. Good portions and great pricing.
The first thing that caught my attention about this place was the "Beer To Go" sign on the front window. Â I wandered in, and was immediately hit in the olfactory bulb with the smell of freshly baked bread. Â They make their own pizza dough and sandwich rolls at this place. Â Which is awesome, and doesn't thrash the roof of your mouth. Â I tried the Italian sub (ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone, onion, lettuce, tomato, dijon, mayo, and italian dressing), and it was the best grinder I've had in Washington State. Â 7.95 gets you a half sub which is very filling unless you're a competitive eater. Â The owner/baker, never caught his name, was very nice and accommodating. Â He also has Delille Cellars by the glass and a great draught beer selection.
If you're running a pizza/sub shop, you aren't required to treat each customer like they're ordering steak and lobster. Â The service was great nonetheless. Â And if you're a carb-freak then ask yourself what the hell you are doing walking into a pizza/sub shop. Â Go get a protein shake or something and quit whining.
I have nothing but good things to say about the sandwiches (haven't tried the pizza). Â I'll definitely drive the 10 miles to get subs here every other week.
The hot sub sandwiches here are insanely good. They bake their own sandwich rolls which have this light crust that crunches when you bite in. That same roll is not too hard/chewy like a baguette, and the inside is soft.
So far I have tried the Italian, turkey bacon ranch, and the Maui Wowi which were all mouth watering. Their prices are like $5 for a 6 inch and $7-8 for a footlong so you can't complain about the price!
I was referred to this place by a friend, and after I became sprung I have collected additional followers once their lips touched the heavenly sandwiches. They are so good I haven't even made it to the pizzas yet!
