Empty Bottle Saloon

Strictly for dancing and drinking. Music is very loud but staff is great, music is cool, and if it gets too hot or crowded step outside for a breather.

Empty Bottle Saloon is ok as far as being a bar is concerned and there's plenty of space to break it down on the dance floor.  It's also supposed to be a decent venue for a live band ... key words being "supposed to be".

We all went the night before Thanksgiving and had the opportunity to see Nuts In A Blender live (local favorite) - and this wasn't the first time either so we knew they were good.  But it turns out with the acoustic setup in this "Saloon", there is only 1 setting for volume .... MAX.  After about 10 minutes of 180 soothing decibels and unintelligible static coming out of the microphone I started to feel my teeth vibrate.  I spent a lot of time that night outside to give my throbbing eardrums a break.  It was also a huge disappointment for everyone else as we all remembered when that band played at my cousin's wedding last year.  At Empty Bottle every thump of the bass was like getting a basketball thrown at your chest.

One thing is for sure, whether it was the bar or the band there were a LOT of skeezy hos out that night.  I mean they were friggin everywhere and of all shapes and sizes.  Even if you like that kinda thing there were plenty of them with skin exposed that no one should have to look at.  And it was in the lower 40s that night.

If you don't give a horse's ass about losing your hearing and you love migraines and hookers, this is an awesome spot.  Otherwise, nothing to see here.  Move along.

So last night I was taking to one of my friends about all the different places that I have yelped over the last year and I realized that I never yelped this bar....so here goes.

Empty Bottle Salon is one of the few places in the area that you can grab a drink and do a little dancing. It's only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays and it gets pretty packed. They try to mix it up with different events, so you never know what you are going to get. One day it can be a band, a DJ or even a beer pong tournament. They also have some great drink specials. My favorite is obviously the two for one.

So if you are in the area and want to have a good time, stop by Empty Bottle Salon and grab a drink!
