*Bar Review only
Average drink price, since it's a lounge like place. There's table service! Only see one creeper so far...yeah, looks like a cock feast in hurr
I'm not lying about cock feast in here! Try coming here on a weekday. Not so poppin'.
Weekends are differ from weekdays. There are more people here over the weekends instead of the weekdays, of course, that usually happens to most places.
I came here again with my co-workers to celebrate one of their birthday and it wasn't poppin' on a Thursday night. I remember the first time I was here, there's an additional room, which was the dance floor and lounge booths, which was not open unless you request it too. Thank you, co-worker for doing so, because there were no seats by the bar or near it.
Note: Â You can order drinks at the bar or sit at a table/lounge while a waitress approaches. I would prefer order a drink at the bar first before sitting elsewhere, just because it's 'faster'
Ordered: Old Fashion - http://www.yelp.com/user…
- not bad. Has the taste, pretty good and yummy. mhm.. bourbon me again!
Coming back? Maybe...just to try their other specialties :)
This bar is a hidden gem in the city of arcadia located around the south end of arcadia behind a bunch of auto mechanic shops. I stopped by with my friend one night just to check the place out and surprisingly it wasn't busy on a wednesday night. I really enjoyed the ambiance and the fact they actually had a small wine list. This bar is mostly dominated by asians.
However, upon my second visit, the bartender was a cock block! I hate the fact that just cuz the girl sitting at the bar is your homie don't mean you need to be so overlyprotective of her. I think he was more protective of the waitress. She was cute. Anyway, we hit it off and every 5 mins the bald bartender comes in and start cutting into our conversation. "Dude, there's plenty of girls out there. Chill out." I was just going to take her to eat some sushi...
Food was decent. Sweet Potato fries and rib eye on skewers were good. I like the ambiance. They're not cheap with AC. Most Asian and are cheap asses when it comes to AC they're set it at 77F. That's too hot especially with 20 dudes in the room. One fart, everybody breaks for the door. lol
Solid 4 stars.
I'll be honest, I only come to Arcadia for boba and asian food. Alas, I was in the area and my friends wanted to go drinking but didn't want to drive all the way to Hollywood. #firstworldproblems
So I looked up "lounges" on yelp and this place popped up. We drove there and went in with 0 expectations. But as we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised. The DJ was spinning mainstream/EDM music, the decor was very modern/contemporary, and the place had a good chill vibe. Not too crowded on a Saturday night either.
The drinks are fairly priced, the bartenders are friendly, and they have snacks if you're hungry. Seems like a good place to have a chill night with friends.
Tucked in around a quiet neighborhood around Arcadia, they're trying to bring in a nice downtown bar to the suburbs. Came on a Friday night and got seated right away. This place is more of a chill spot; order drinks with your friends and just talk. Drinks are reasonably priced (for a "downtown" bar). Decor is pretty nice inside too. Place got pretty crowded as the night passed by, and we felt another group kind of hovering around our table (the place wasn't that big though). Played hip hop and some good r&b early on (awwww yeeeeah!) but switched to house by the end of the night (sad face). Parking is pretty small in here too. If you're from the area and just want some local drinking fun, here's your spot. Mostly Asian inside (which reflects the area).
Review Source:A bar & lounge tucked away in between local businesses and the residential area of Arcadia. Ambiance is contemporary, with dimmed lights, and cute tables. The lounge is shaped like a L. Regular tables are on the left, and bottle service is on the right.
The bar was very clean, and the bartender was very nice. My friend and I was helped by Hansol, and he was the best! We started with a round of midori sour, and sat ourselves at the bar. It was my first time having midori sour, so I finished it pretty quickly. I asked for another one, and Hansol asked if I wanted something stronger, but I couldn't decide on what I wanted, so I just got another midori. Midori sour is $7. I tipped Hansol $3, and he bought me my next round! WOOH! Midway through my second midori, Hansol told us that a couple of guys wanted to buy us a drink, and later introduced us to the buyers lol.
Fast forward and I was pretty buzzed. My friend and I were bar hopping, and the drinks were finally catching up to us, and Hansel took good care of us. He always filled up my glass when it was half empty.
Guys here are pretty persistent. They'll try to talk to you and will stand there quietly until you are facing them again, and will try to make small talk all over again. Lol. It was kinda awkward, but my friend saved me and we left together.
A neighborhood bar and lounge located right in between Arcadia and El Monte, Entrance is the newest stylishly modern hotspot for locals. I could literally walk here, get wasted, be on my merry way, and walk home.
The parking lot is quite small, but there were plenty of spots at 9:30 pm. The bouncer, who was extremely friendly and even took a picture of our group for us later in the evening, checked our IDs and opened the door for us. The inside isn't too large, but there seemed to be plenty of areas to sit. We grabbed a table and perused their menu.
Our server claimed she was new, so she didn't know the menu that well, nor the prices. We didn't mind as we weren't in a hurry. Since it was Happy Hour, I ordered a Pineapple Rum and it was simply put, disgusting. The pineapple juice wasn't sweet at all and I highly recommend they switch whatever they're using with Dole. The alcohol was cheap and bitter, making the drink unbearable to finish. However, the Grand Entrance special cocktail was pretty good. We also ordered a bottle of Butterfly wine, which was only $28 and quite tasty.
The scene is very Asian-Asian ("fobby") and there were more guys than girls, as expected. They had R&B and hip-hop playing, adding to the chill and laid-back ambience. It definitely doesn't seem like a place to get shwasted. My girlfriends and I weren't digging the music and asked our server if they could change the music to EDM, but the DJ said no... 'Cause they play EDM at midnight. We waited but I guess there were a couple more complaints 'cause they started playing EDM at 11 pm.
Entrance Bar & Lounge is A-OK in my book and I wouldn't mind visiting again for a late-night drink or snack and hang out with my friends.
Who knew this place even existed in little ol' Arcadia? The location of this place is kind of random and a little confusing to find if you don't know the area. Â They have a small parking lot, but usually gets full by 10ish so we usually park on the streets around the bar. Â The decor of the place is not bad, but it is realllly small. Â If you don't get a table, you're pretty much just floating around and hanging out by the bar for the whole night. Â I don't know why or how... but I always end up here when my friends and I are lazy to drive out to LA, but want to just chill, drink, and hang out. Â I would say 4 out of 5 times, we also always leave here pretty trashed. Â It's like a closer Busby's or something. Â It's more of a place to hang out and drink with your friends and not really an ideal place if you want to meet other people.. unless you like fobs. Â The music is usually house/edm, but there's not much of a dance floor.
Review Source:gets really packed on the weekends,
if you want to check it out you should really go on a weekday.
service is great, jasmin is awesome. the other girls could use some smile.
vivian is also a great bartender, she makes my drinks with extra love.
love the seats, and love how we get to vape inside.
A nice little place to lounge and chill if you're not trying to drive out to LA. The crowd is definitely different from the crowd in LA, if that doesn't bother you then this place is def a place to try out.
Presents more to an Asian crowd but its cheap for table service and their foods to snack on are decent.
Music is good and they have a small dance floor for those who wanna rage.
I'm more of a chill, drink, play cards, and snack kinda person, if that's you def try this place out. They provide cards, and a Chinese dice game.
Service is great.
Will def return again.
First off, note this is an Asian bar. If you're Asian, I'm sure you will love it, as everybody there is Asian(Except me and a friend). Now I'm not a racist, but I do prefer a more integrated crowd. It's a Pasadena style lounge with Pasadena pricing. So if your looking for a cheap buzz, this aint the place. Other than that, the place is clean and the staff is friendly. I went on a Friday night and it was very crowded. I expect, much like another similar lounge called Area DNA in San Gabriel.....in a year .....the buzz will die down....... as will the clientele.......
Review Source:Very crowded and small, though everything is very clean and modern. The bouncer was surprisingly extremely friendly, and the people were not TOO rude, although very distant. Prices are decent for both drinks and snacks, though the "house cocktails" are really just normal everyday drinks (Cosmo, etc).
You will rarely find an empty table, however, so make sure you reserve your table AHEAD of time!!
It was a boring Tuesday night and me and the girls were desperately looking for a spot to kill the day. All i can say is THANK YOU yelp! u never disappoint! :) I loved everything about this lounge which are..
Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the staff, they made us feel comfortable right away and I finally met a bartender, Hansel, Â who actually loved his job, wasn't rude, plus he made us good drinks! you rarely get that from a lot of bars .. Â A part from great customer service-I was really impressed with their prices, they also have delicious food selections on their happy hour menu.
Comfortable setting with great music.
This place used to be Kelly's Pub, now transformed to an Asian invaded lounge. It's so close to my house that when friends have something going on there, I wouldn't mind making a quick stop. I actually had a little gathering this past Summer for my birthday and it turned out alright. Drinks are fairly priced, bottle service is reasonable and the music can get pretty awesome. It's not very big and there's a tiny dance floor area if it isn't covered by people standing around. Not alot of parking spaces in their lot. Street parking is always available. They also serve small bites.
Enjoy. Have Fun. Drink Responsibly!
Totally random place. Who knew that there would be a bar in the area of Arcadia that kind of has nothing? It's tucked away, so I got lost coming here, but I drove through Burger King and there it was! Free parking is always a plus.
It's a pretty hip lounge with a nice ambiance, so people who come usually dress up, but you definitely don't need to. There weren't any specialty house drinks, but I really liked the mojito (mostly because I couldn't taste the alcohol). Snacks like fries and calimari were good, but came in small portions.
The best thing about Taiwanese bars is that there are drinking games you play with dice. Ask the waitress to bring you a few cups of dice and you've got a fun night!
Nice local bar with good atmosphere and modern style. Drinks are reasonable priced. They have tables on the right side of the entrance for bottle service. I celebrated my birthday here. Bottle service is definitely cheaper than the clubs. I come here time to time to relax after a long day at work. They have a johnny walker blue label shots for $20, thats pretty cheap. I had to order it and they were nice enough to put it on the rocks for me.
Overall good place to hang out with friends or to just come and get a drink and chill.
I love this bar is in my backyard city of Arcadia. Hidden on Live Oak, which I normally don't roll around to during the evening, it's a nice lounge to catch up with old friends and talk. Â The drinks are nice and they also serve Taiwan Beer if you're not into cocktails. Â There's cute waitresses too! Â Hopefully, this bar sticks around for a while, I'd love to come again and again.
Review Source:I came here on a Friday night with a couple of buddies. It's a small but pretty nice place to hang out, shoot the breeze, and have a couple drinks. Â The bar itself is nicely designed with mirrors behind and ambiance lights softly lit. Â The lounge itself is quite new. Â The dark wood flooring was nice, the furniture was modern, and the music was pumping with newest hits. Â The service was decent too. Â The waitress was quite nice to serve us since we had a small table. Â She was very courteous and smiled every time she came by to check on us. Â
The drinks and the appetizers were not that expensive. Â Probably similar to a cafe's menu prices. Â The beers were $6.00 each which I thought was inexpensive compared to other bar/lounges.
I had a great time there that night. Â The ambiance was comfortable and there were both formal and casual people there. Â The crowd was mellow... all Asians, since it's located in Arcadia. Â Everyone was cool.
The only let down was there sound system really stinks. Â They need to reinvest and drastically upgrade their speakers. Â I basically hear muffs coming out of the speakers. Â The treble wasn't sharp, and the bass was so distorted. Â What a waste of playing good music! Â
Please upgrade the sound system because the hippest place with nice decor can quickly become a wash if the sound is not good.
Who would've thought that the sleepy looking bar on a quiet, deserted street, just blocks from the residential area, would turn out to be one of Arcadia's new party spots? There aren't many places to party in this part of the city, as most of it consists of residential areas and small restaurants. You have your tired ol' Bar Louie but besides that, most people end up making their way to LA to get their drinks on.
Entrance Bar houses a classy and lively ambiance, with dim lights, modern decor and a young Asian crowd. This place is perfect for those who want to get together with friends but don't feel like making the trip all the way to LA or K-town. The venue itself is sort of small, creating an intimate atmosphere.
We arrived around 11PM, and by then the tables were full, so we had to sit ourselves at the bar to wait. The bar was spacious and clean and the bartenders were very attentive. Instead of having to flag them down like in many crowded bars, these bartenders went down the whole bar, asking each patron if they had been helped yet.
The prices aren't too bad either, ranging from $7-10. A couple of friends and I split a bottle of champagne for $25. When the bartender poured it, it was clear that there wasn't enough champagne to go around for the 3 of us. And he ended up giving us another bottle for free! Â How awesome is that?!
The music is loud and it may be kind of hard to have a conversation without trying to yell over the sound. They play a good mix of Top 40s and house music. But although this place has a very party-like feel to it, there wasn't anyone dancing.
Entrance Bar is a recommended place for 626 locals to check out. When the weather gets colder, you may not want to put all that effort into going out, standing in line and paying a lot of money to go to a nightclub. Swing by to this joint instead and just have a good time catching up with friends!
Supposedly this is a Chinese/Taiwanese drinking spot, but unlike all the other drinking places in SGV such as De Club, Forbes, Indians, etc I actually like coming here! Â They play a good mix of jams that isn't obnoxiously loud and the crowd seems a bit more trendy and chill at the same time. Â I really like the decor and ambiance of this place as well, it's not all loud and tacky in a sad attempt to be upscale like some spots.
The bartenders to the servers are all really nice and helpful when it comes to choosing a cocktail or eats. Â Their signature cocktails aren't too shabby either, I usually choose the one that I think will be the tastiest and strongest. Â Heh heh heh.. Â The first time I came here was on a Thursday and the server told us it was ladies night and that girls get a special complimentary cocktail. Â The complimentary drink was not too shabby, in fact I ended up drinking mine, my buddy's and the drink I actually had to pay for. Â Twas a good night for me I'll say! Â
The food here is pretty tasty too and the price is pretty decent as well. Â The steak skewers are flavorful & juicy, but a little fatty. Â The cucumber sticks were, well cucumber sticks. Â Curly fries are the generic curly fries, but tasty nonetheless especially when you're starting buzz.
Arcadia is a little out of the way from La Habra as well as the area in SGV I hang out in, but if given a choice I'd choose this place out of all the other drinking places in the area. Â I'd definitely come here again!
Wanted to give Entrance another chance after being contacted by Bill and told that they had drastically improved since their grand opening.
BIG IMPROVEMENT! They had obviously hired more waitresses and bartenders which made customer service soooooo much more efficient! Bill and the rest of the staff there have been working hard to make Entrance a fun, local hang out for all. Their menu also seems to be expanded and improved as well. Food and drinks were yummy and didn't cost an arm and a leg. If you are a local looking for a new hang out, give entrance a try!
came for a friend's birthday.
didn't even knew this place existed and its so local! Really nice atmosphere. Comparable to ktown's hip places.
Nice decor, good music, Clean restrooms. Not too big of a drinker but they did have QUALITY orange juice. Fresh squeezed and refreshing. Forget the alcohol, its about the orange juice!!
i can definitely see myself coming back.
this place is hidden!
the atmosphere is nice, its a nice hangout spot.
drinks were okay, but they have VERY limited options. if you special order your drinks, dont expect it to wow you. i ordered midori sour, which was not on their menu, it came out tasting plain syrup... it was WAY too sweet
other than that, i'd still come back to when im around the area
oh and did i mention their drinks are around $7-10, they are very affordable compare to the lounges in LA. it's like you're getting half off! lol
I usually come here with a friend of mine who lives in the area. Â Meh....I heard it's known for Taiwanese people who frequent the place. Â Not really my cup of tea but great place if you're bored with nothing to do and your friends want to come and kill some time. Â There's usually a grip of people smoking in the front, i.e. me & my friends. Â Lots of Asian people if not all Asian people. Â You can request bottle service as if it's a club. Â There's a DJ. Â Drinks are somewhat stiff. Â Good ratio between guys and girls.....sometimes. Â That's about it.
Review Source:We were here for a friend's birthday just this last weekend. Seems like a fairly new lounge in the area. The decor is nice and sort of trendy, comfy couches and on the wall projectors that kept freezing. Our friend knows someone there so we were catered and treated very special by him. I sadly don't remember his name. The Entrance is not a big place which makes it a bit intimate and if you come with your own group of friends, the place pretty much would belong to you and you will have no problem looking or finding them around the area. The security guard on Saturday night was also super nice and friendly. We had a chance to talk to him for a while and he was pleasant. One thing we did hear him tell a few people, NO shorts or Hats allowed so do come dressed appropriately. There isn't much of a dance floor area and I didn't get to see anyone dance so this is more of a place to come by and sit and drink with your friends. The music isn't very loud either so its easy to carry on a conversation without loosing your voice over the night.
For drinks, they have an ok selection. The bartenders were prompt and attentive. I ordered beers for the night so they range from $6-9. Not too bad. A friend of ours ordered food too (fries and a few other finger food type stuff). Music was ok but apparently one of our friends knows the dj so she played a few of the songs we wanted. There is no cover charge in this place and no long lines in the girl bathrooms (which also happened to actually be pretty clean). The crowd is mainly Asians. Our waitress actually spoke to me being one of the only none Asians in there in Chinese and I just blankly stared at her like What?? Ahahaha she quickly caught herself and apologized and translated what she was asking me to do. Our host knew that it was our friend's birthday and actually gave us some birthday shots on the house. The shots were NOT strong, sweet and I felt like they had no alcohol but hey! it was nice of them to give us shots for the whole group to celebrate. Â
Parking is a bit of a nightmare being that the lot is pretty small. Do come with a good group of friends here and expect a crowd to form around 11ish. Everyone seems to be in their own group and not mingle around, so don't come here expecting to meet people (even though I actually had a nice talk with a girl I randomly met). The place doesn't get too overly crowded and service is friendly. Affordable drinks and no lines to go to the restroom. Totally would come back again.
Entrance Bar was recommended to me through a friend soo I decided to go and check this place out with one of my gf's. We came here right before I left to Asia and seriously I still remember the night pretty darn well.
This place like many people has stated is pretty small. We were sitting at the counter of the bar overlooking all the bottles of alcohol they had. I liked the set up and would say it was a really nice place to go and chat with my friend.
We had an awesome time and met some interesting people of course, but I would say the bartender that we had was sweet and made our drinks the way we liked them.
Place was pretty popular but not that bad and it is a nice intimate place if you want to have some privacy.
Lovely, modern little bar and lounge.. Â Definitely add $2 to double up on your shot of scotch...(my fav is Macallan). The rib eye, chicken meatballs, and onion rings are bomb ass good and very reasonably priced.. We sat at the bar area and the service from the 2 bartenders were excellent...I'm so glad this place is just around the corner to avoid a long drive to downtown. Â The only thing I wasn't happy about is the bouncer guy at the door nicely made me take off my baseball cap.. After 2 strong drinks, I couldn't remember how messed up my hair looks. :)
Review Source:The new-ish bar/lounge in Arcadia is a bit off the beaten path and I would've never known about it except my bestie knew the DJ that night & she chose this place for her post birthday dinner drinks.
We arrived insanely early (close to right when it opened, around 9:30pm-ish) & the place was pretty dead. We had our pick of tables...and apparently we get table service? You order with the servers & they walk to the bar and deliver your drinks? We sorta wanted to bypass the whole system (just go up ourselves to get drinks) but we didn't have to start a tab or anything so we just went with the flow.
Drinks are priced okay - Mixed drinks/shots: $9-11 (we mostly had Jagerbombs, Long Island Iced tea, Grey Goose shots - $9), Beers & wines range from $6-9. They also have snacks & actual food.
Crowd started to pick up around 11pm..and yep, 90%+ Asians (reflective of the area). Around 1am, half of the crowd went missing and apparently went outside to smoke. Music was poppin' though (good top 40's mix with some EDM - but it might've helped that we knew the DJ so we made a bunch of random requests). The small-ish dance floor was really lonely...not that many people utilized it.
The verdict: less annoying than going to DTLA/Hollywood , no: cover, paying for parking, wall-to-wall people, etc...; but you definitely have to be there with a good group of friends.
This bar/lounge is located in an interesting place, with a small parking lot, but a-ok parking on the street. Their is a bouncer there to greet and check your id, right beside him is the small smoking area. This place is like a nice small lounge but a good size place for a bar, they have a DJ in the corner that plays all the new shit, decent amount of chairs, and sofa booths, and full stock of alcohol, I didn't try any of their food, came here for a friend's birthday to get her drunk. I read a previous review and it said service was nonexistent, maybe it was an off night that person came, but service was awesome when I came. Drinks are cheap, beer is about the standard $6, but redbull vodka was also $6, man you can literally get drunk off $20 lol.
Price and service was A+
First off...this bar is way too small and in a bad location. They need to hire more bartenders because the wait to buy a drink is twenty mins. Also, remember how much your drinks cost because they will rip you off and give you the wrong change. Â Go to the male bartender with the glasses. He is the only guy who can make great drinks.
Be nice to the bouncers or they wont let you in. Its ridiculous how crazy they are for such a small bar but i guess you cant expect much for a lounge in Arcadia.
Btw almost everyone that goes to this lounge is Asian so dont be too surprised for those who dont know this area very well.
The food is super cheap so try the food. Other than that...i probably would make the drive to koreatown than come here. Â This is just my personal opinion so i hope it helps!
Nice modern interior. Not what you would expect from this area.
$4 to $7 small eats. They have items like rib eye and onion rings.
$7 to $10 for mixed drinks. They also have champagne if you want to get bougie.
Drinks well made.
Not aware of any happy hour.
No cover. Bartender Ed is a nice guy.
A friend of mine invited me here on opening night. This place is brand spankin' new. Nice modern decor, good bar service and music. You're definitely getting a deal on food and drinks. Hip, trendy, casual venue to catch up with friends. Music gets louder as the night goes on, so get the important stuff outta the way, cuz it's time to dance! It's not huge, but that's fine; just an opportunity to get cozier!
Review Source:The music is great for any kind of activities. I was there with some chattier friends and we had an awesome time. I am sure you'll like it if you're there to work or just to enjoy the atmosphere and music.
The food there are FANTASTIC ! Â The skewers are really nice and their fried chickens are even better.
The drinks have great price and the bartender knows well. If you are not sure what to drink, the bartender can certainly give you great advices base on what you like / feels like.
I'd definitely go again if I go down south to visit.
Atmosphere: modern, clean, dark, and trendy
Music: live DJ- plays house/hip hop
Food: Try their calamari! they said they make it from scratch... i think all of their food is about 5-7 dollar range. AFFORDABLE++
Most importatly: DRINKS!!! IT was wayyyy cheaper than other bars in LA.
I think if they can keep this up, it will be a great turn out.
